Sennheiser ME66/K6 Overview

Designed to provide the basic accessories for shock-mounting a shotgun microphone atop a camera, this B&H Kit features the Sennheiser ME 66 shotgun microphone head, the Sennheiser K6 phantom-/battery-powering module, a shoe/pole shockmount, a foam windscreen, AA batteries, and a short XLR to 3.5mm cable for easy hookup to a camera's mic input.

The kit addresses the needs of videographers who prefer a cost-effective, yet versatile shotgun microphone setup that stays out of the frame while delivering focused directionality, natural tonality, and low handling noise. With its XLR output and dual powering modes (AA battery or phantom power), the ME 66/K6 mic is well suited for use with mirrorless cameras and DSLRs as well as professional camcorders, portable audio recorders, multitrack field recorders, and compact mixer adapters.

Complete Microphone Kit
Complete shotgun microphone solution, complete with camera mountable shock mount, XLR to mini Cable and windscreen. The XLR to mini cable is ideally suited for use with consumer video cameras. Also included is the Vasst Training DVD: Now Hear This: Superior Sound for Digital Video
Exceptional Noise Rejection
The capsule features a highly directional, cardioid polar pattern yielding great attenuation at the sides of the microphone, maximizing pick up at the front.
Wide Frequency Response
A wide 40-20,000Hz frequency response ensures detailed, accurate signal reproduction.
Compact Camera Mountable
The ME66's compact design allows mounting to video cameras and is at home in event video, ENG / EFP use, video depositions, corporate media applications and film.
K6 Power Module
Sennheiser's K6 power supply provides power via AA battery. The K6 can accept phantom power from external sources as well. The power supply screws on to the capsule, revealing the XLR connection.
