Comments about Rode DS-1 Microphone Desk Stand:
I bought this specifically for supporting a Sony PCM-D50 Audio Field Recorder. It works perfectly for me recording either Sunday Church Service or Family History audio.
The upright unscrews from the base, making it easy to pack in with my mobile audio/video recording kit. The adjustable height is a real bonus for getting the audio recorder positioned at the proper height.
I have a Manfrotto 323 RC2 System Quick Release Adapter screwed onto the top of this stand. A Manfrotto 200PL-14 plate is screwed onto the backside of a Sony PCM-D50 audio recorder and plugged into the Adapter.
Works perfectly for securely holding the audio recorder in proper position for recording sound, either in church or in interview type situations.
