Your current DVD library will look and sound better than ever before, because the DVD-1080P7 is a progressive-scan DVD player, capable of upconverting your DVDs to a 720p/1080i and 1080p high-definition experience. With the DVD-1080P7, enjoy the awesome power of Dolby Digital and DTS digital audio for a wider, more enveloping surround-sound experience.

In addition, the DVD-1080P7 presents superb functionality and high-end features that will be hard to match, such as Samsung's EVQ Processing, HDMI CEC, DivX Certified, component video output, optical/coaxial audio outputs, and 192KHz/24-Bit audio processing. With connectivity to multiple A/V components and multi-format playback capabilities, the Samsung DVD-1080P7 answers the call with versatility and reliability.

High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)
It features an HDMI output, capable of reproducing and upconverting video signals to 720p/1080i and 1080p. This technology enables it to carry the HD audio and video information through a single cable and achieving the highest quality picture and clearest sound available.
Progressive-Scan Capability
This is a progressive scan DVD player, capable of scanning an entire video frame at once; scan-lines commonly associated with interlaced video are drastically reduced. The result is a spectacularly clear image with no motion artifacts (stair-stepping), and details so sharp they seem as if they're etched onto the screen.
Dolby Digital and DTS Processing
It has built-in processors to handle the multi-channel decoders for Dolby Digital and DTS digital audio processing, capable of advanced 24-bit processing and an outstanding sampling frequency of 192KHz. In addition, it features digital optical/coaxial audio outputs for connectivity to your home theater receiver.
Component Output
It achieves greater color accuracy and high resolution playback capability when connected via the component output to your projector, plasma and/or LCD/CRT televisions.
DivX Home Theater Certified
DivX is video compression software which enables high quality video to be compressed into very small files then downloaded onto CD-R or CD-RW and played back with very little loss of quality.
EZ View Feature
EZ View Letter Box Eliminator enables the elimination of the black letterbox bars of 4:3 TV screens with the push of a button on the remote control.
HDMI CEC Function
The HDMI CEC is a function that can be used to operate the DVD-1080P7 using a Samsung TV remote control, by connecting the unit to a SAMSUNG TV using an HDMI Cable. (This is only available with SAMSUNG TVs that support HDMI CEC).
Multi-Format Player
Don't worry about limited playback capabilities, the DVD-1080P7 can play: DVD-Video, DVD-R, DVD+R/W, CD, CD-R/W, MP3, WMA and JPEG.
