The Kenwood TK-2200P ProTalk Two-Way Radio is aimed at professional users who need a rugged, versatile, yet lightweight radio for a variety of jobsite or industrial applications. Its exterior housing and chassis meet several MIL-specs, and each radio is rife with features that allow for simplified or advanced uses. Each radio is ready to use out of the box, and may be accessorized with any one of several Push-to-Talk (PTT) headsets, extended-life batteries, antennas, or AC/DC standard or rapid chargers.
Compact Design
The ergonomic contours of the ProTalk TK-2200P naturally fit the hand for a superb comfortable grip. The non-slip elastomer channel knob and switch torque ensures positive selection and prevents accidental switching.
Frequencies & QT/DQT
The ProTalk TK-2200P has 27 pre-stored frequencies, 39 QT tones and 83 DQT codes. Users can program a ProTalk radio to any of the pre-stored frequenciesand QT/DQT's, assuring compatibility with other brands of two-way radios.
Super Lock
Managers can "Super Lock" all user controls (except PTT and volume) to prevent accidental channel changes by employees.
Wireless Cloning
This simplifies the setup of several ProTalk radios and allows them to function identically, thus eliminating repetitive setup actions of individual radios.
Call Alert
Pressing the "Calling Alert" key while transmitting results in an alert tone to sound from the other radio's speaker. This is a useful function when trying to signal staff in noisy environments.
VOX/Hands-Free
VOX (voice-operated transmission) is an invaluable feature used for specialized tasks or events that require repetitive hands-free communications. The radio itself provides an automatic PTT action so the user simply talks to activate it. VOX works with a Kenwood-compatible headset.
All-Environment Use
Built tough for rugged work environments, the ProTalk has been designed to pass industrial drop tests, international IP54/55 water and dust intrusion tests and 11 categories of the U.S. Department of Defense MIL-STD 810 C, D, E & F environmental standards tests.
Wide Broadcast Range
The TK-2200P offers 2 watts of power to enable direct radio-to-radio communication on the same frequency (simplex) for up to 6 miles.
