The Lastolite Hot Shoe EZYBOX Softbox is designed to fit most manufacturers' hot shoe, tilt-head flashes. It has a 15 x 15" (38 x 38cm) front face, and its depth is sufficient to provide real softening of the flash. It assembles easily in minutes and accepts most hot-shoe flashes. Add a tilt-bracket of your choice for more aiming control.

This product replaces another brand of mini-soft box that I've been using for over a year. I shoot weddings almost every weekend, and grew tired of the first soft-box's inability to fold up for portability. SO, the lastolite seemed to be the easy choice...and it is GREAT! A bit on the pricey side, but the portability and awesome light it makes...totally worth it. I can now easily travel for weddings...into cars, hotel rooms, back of churches, etc...without fuss of having a softbox which doesn't fold down. I also found out that I like the hot shoe mount's construction much better than my old brand's mount. Far more secure at holding my 580 EXII.

Great Product but a little pricey!
I have used this product on 3 photo shoots thus far, I love the ease of use and set up. I would greatly recommend getting the tilt bracket attachment.

I love this product, it allows me to control light as I want it. It's a new world after having my flash on camera for so long. Now I'm getting the shots I have always wanted to take.

At least, not w/ my TT5 for Nikon Speedlights. The hotshoe holder thing is about a 1/2 inch too short to put the TT5 on it.
It does look very durable & easily portable, though.

I put this product in my wish list over a year ago and forgot about it. A big mistake on my part. Needed a smaller softbox for shooting in tight rooms and limited space. This does the trick and fits my SB-900 perfectly. Easy to store and setup. Be sure to have a light mount bracket with a spigot so you have the ability to tilt.

Quick and easy to set up, and the quality of light is really nice. I shoot on location, and finally I've found a softbox that fits in my lighting kit, works well with my Nikon SB900's and is easy to use.

I tested this product at home before taking it out in the field. It worked fine, no surprise. The real workout came on the first job for a client where I had about a dozen different locations over two days were I had to reset up, tilt shoot , tear it down load it on to a cart and haul it away to the next location. It did not skip a beat. I have only one regret and that is I did not trust my instincts and also purchase the accessory kit of reducers to modify the light beam.

I like this for softening and controlling the light of my SB-28s, especially when photographing people. It sets up easily and is made of good quality materials. I looked over the other softboxes available for speedlites and decided on this one. I am happy with my choice.
The Lastolite instructional videos available on their site are very good and very free.
It's a little pricey. I don't mind that if the product is good and this one is.

Quality of light is awesome and its super simple to set up. My only qualm is the bracket is not quite tall enough to accommodate specific radio triggers that are attached directly to the hotshoe. Other then that it's great.

The light effect is awesome, but i had trouble because i did not bought a bracket that you seem to need to install it, and then i came back and ordered a bracket that had a hole for an umbrella too, but it kid of looses it so i improvised a bracket. I still dont know wich piece i'm missing. I love the kit products of your supersore and this should be one of those

Very easy to set-up. Materials and build appear to sustain some punishment on the road. Compacts down very quickly. Light weight and handy travel bag to protect it.

Comments about Lastolite Hot Shoe EZYBOX Softbox Kit - 15x15" (38x38cm):
This is a very clever and innovative that sets up and breaks down quite easily. Transporting it is no more cumbersome than transporting a large circular reflector. The light spread is much more contained than with an umbrella and it is much easier to use than an umbrella in a tight space with normal ceiling heights, meaning that it's good for location work.
I have no difficulty using it for 3/4 length portrait shots at f5.6 at 100 ISO with a Nikon SB600 at full power. I find the small size and light weight also make it practical to mount on a a small boomstand either for portraiture or table-top photography. The quality of the light is nice.
It is pricey however, and for the money, I think that they could have provided a more rugged metal flash bracket instead of the plastic one. In normal usage, the supplied bracket should be okay, but photographic equipment does get bashed around sometimes, especially on location whenre you don't always have complete control of every yahoo that bumps into your equipment.

This is the third small softbox I've purchased and by far the best. It's of the highest quality in materials, and is incredibly easy to use. It comes in a small, circular, pancake flat case just like the trigrip diffusor/reflectors of Lastolite. The bracket that comes with it is very easy to install and acts as a hot/cold shoe for my SB900 flash. The only thing it's missing is the ability to tilt.
The price is high, but you get what you pay for in this case. I'm going to get the 24x24 next.

I am still trying to find what works with this product. The light output seems at least a few f/stops short of what the speedlight is set at. I am not happy with what I've seen so far, but like I said, I am still fooling around with it.

This 15x15 EZBOX its just WEAK for my use the HOT Shoe piece its weak I went to purchase a different Hot Shoe mount Stroboframe Flash Mount Adapter - Standard Shoe Type to replace the original one becareful with the Flash Pins at the bottom parts don't force it to go in.... The Box just cut 1/3 of the STOP for my flash power just like a said this thing its perfect for Average Amateur but for Advanced Amateur and Professional its a waist of money I prefer the Stofen unit on top of the Flash or the MilaGRID works just fine and you will a dramatic result of your image.

While a formal soft box is great for stills, I shoot dogs... that move. This box on a handle (optional) gives me great flexible lighting. The 15x15 size is about the right size for my subjects, but the larger box might better suit a larger subject. At arm's reach, the box gets a little heavy for extended posing, but with a C stand, it's perfect. Only area of operating concern is to keep the flash command window unblocked by box.

Comments about Lastolite Hot Shoe EZYBOX Softbox Kit - 15x15" (38x38cm):
I use this product to get some off camera soft lighting and it is a great use for that. I love the fact that with a pocket wizard you can trigger a pro nikon or canon flash and get great effects without having to spend money on a quantum flash or something else that requires external power supplies.
If you want professional results without the cost of professional strobes this is an excellent option especially for those just starting out and don't have a lot to spend in this area.
I like how it is totally collapsable and portable the only drawback that I can see is having to put it together which takes all of a minute because it is a collapsable product like the reflectors now a days. You will have to purchase a hot shoe and pocket wizard but it is well worth the money.

for small and medium "still life" shots or close up portraits, on location, but it's useful in a studio too. Fast to mount and dismount. Great adaptability to my Canon 550 EX speedlite.
