Comments about Sony NP-F970 L-series Info-Lithium Battery 2 Pack (7.2v, 6600mAh):
If you do weddings, and use lights or other equipment -- don't cheat yourself or your clients by being without an extra set of charged batteries. 6 hours additional time! It's not so great to pay right at [$] for two batteries. But the two new ones ran our cameras, and the two previously purchased ones ran the LED lights. People were impressed by our equipment and preparedness.Consider some extra batteries for your bag.

I am a freelance video producer and just got this battery kit for my HVR-V1U and they are great! I can shot all day and not worry about running out of battery. They are a little pricey but well worth it. Not having to worry about draining power before recharging is a big deal to me, and so well worth the money.

I use this product with the HVR-HD1000U
Things that are good: When in use with the above listed sony camcorder, camera will run around 6 hours of continuous usage. I use it sporadically during weddings and on average record around 3 hours. This battery gets down to around 40% after a 10 hour shoot, with around 3 hours of raw footage. Works out great.
Things that are bad: I have to use the camera to charge my batteries, bear this in mind when I say the following: the only bad thing about these batteries is that they take the better part of 8 hours to charge up. Given their discharge time is about the same, its a trade I can live with.
