Loving this stand so far. Little rubber feet keep falling off but that seems minor.

Connections are all nut and bolt and can be easily adjusted with simple tools.
Strong and sturdy.
Legs are solid and opens to a wide diameter for stability.
I use two of these with umbrellas for a compact lighting set up on location.
Quick and easy to pack up and set-up. Two of these fit on my carry on - nothing to check in.

After lengthy research which included a conversation with an engineer who designed these for Mathews (I know; too much.), I decided to purchase these (versus the Manfrotto equivalent). It has been a year since.
I like the all metal construction - including the collars that clamps onto the riser to hold it in place.
The nuts and bolt vs rivets is definitely a BIG plus. Whatever you put them through you can always just grab some tools and tighten them up to like new. (OR complete replace them.)
I like that it can fit in my carry on. I can travel anywhere and still be able to bring a light stand. I really do not like checking in luggage...especially waiting for them at the carousel...or paying for them...
The solid aluminum legs has made it easy for me to drill a small hole on each foot so I can attach nylon loops for tent spikes.
Slightly taller fully extended with a wider foot diameter but still folds to the same or smaller compared to other reverse folding light stands.
Observations:
One of the legs is perpetually a little wobbly because it is missing a second Tab to keep it in place when folded for transport.
Paint on the collars have started to crack and flake off. I would assume this is just normal wear and tear.
Great if you want to carry one light stand around. If you need more you may want to conciser the stacking light stands.

This is an incredibly compact stand with a surprisingly high load rating. Packs up very small and comfortably supports a Kino Diva 400 at full height with no wobble.

Folding back on itself is brilliant. Easy to carry and pack. Just came back from a shoot on Florida's beaches and with a few sand bags these stands proved to be invaluable.

It's super compact while folded up. However, its not so compact when opened. To be stable, the legs must be fully extended outwards which takes up alot of floor space. All in all, if you want portability, this is a good sturdy stand to get. But remember, when it is open, the legs take up alot of space. Oh, and the top part (usually the spigot) is fused into the lightstand itself (unlike other lightstand where its detachable. The good thing is that you'll never lose it. The bad is that its a tad more bulky and thus more difficult to attache an umbrella holder AND it does not have the screw/thread tip, so you can't attach more spigots to it.

Lightweight stand which folds up into a compact size for remote shoots. The base spreads out wide enough for good stability with average umbrellas and flashes.

After using the stands for a couple of months, one flaw emerged. The rivet at the bottom of the stand tends to be sheared off with repeated collapsing of the unit. Then, the bottom holder of the legs become detached from the stand. We had to drill out the rivet remains and install a set screw on all our stands. Other than that flaw, I love the stands.

I purchased this stand to accomidate a speedlight and accessories. It is more compact than some of the light weight stands I have and appears to be much stronger. I loaded it up with a Hensel Integra 500 pro and it was quite solid up to about 70% height. The reversing legs are a great idea but often bind when closing. Not a big deal, just takes a little coaxing. I may well buy a few more of these.

Small enough to fit in carry on luggage, sturdy enough for major duty as a light or reflector stand. The fold out legs are wonderful at managing a load on a boom arm.
