Comments about Samsung P2 8GB Portable Media Player (Burgundy):
I use player to listen to educational lectures, music and books. Everthing else is extra.
I bought this product after looking at the Zune and iPod digital players. Rtn them b/c Zone 80g is as large as my iPAQ pda, & uses only WMP, & iPod classic uses only iTune, don't care for itune. The yp-p2 is as good as most reviewers stated. Samsung software is not too good, doesn't keep music and book file/tracks in correct order. Files all over the place. Loses album covers. Better to use WMP. Firmware is a little confusing to install on a new player, if you're new to it. Games don't work, files not recognized. FW updates listed but not clear if and when the were avail. When playing music need to have a dedicated "stop" bottom like video was given, keeps play unless P2 is turned off. If I had a lot of videos, could use more memory. Some video files not recognized and cant be converted by Samsung software.
Overall very satisfied with sound quality, vol., screen and video quality, size is great for pocket use. Prod is very tough and well made (even if dropped). We need better cases for product.
