The Omni-Bounce creates a diffused bare bulb effect, giving even coverage across the entire frame, with lenses from 15mm to 200mm in the 35mm format (and equal in other formats as well). The Omni-Bounce is easy to use and goes onto and off the flash in seconds with custom fitting (except for UNI model) and no touch fastener. Designed for years of service without the bulk of some other diffusers, it is small enough to fit easily into a gadget bag or pocket.

I used to drag around umbrellas for my flash units. Such a pain in the neck to drag around, setup, tear down, etc.
Now with the help of my Pocket Wizards and a 2-3 light setup with my VERY cost effective Vivitar / Omni-Bounce setup, I can setup and tear down almost instantaneously. The improvement of my lighting is ten fold. Very little shadows, excellent ceiling bounce mixed with a proper amount of direct flash has been given me the depth and clarity that I have been trying to achieve for months.
The Omni-Bounce setup literally takes about 2 seconds to snap onto my flash heads. What a great product for the price.
I will recommend Omni-Bounce time after time again!

Good Diffuser
The Omni-Bounce does create a nice bare-bulb look but reduces output. I find myself not using it as much as I thought because I'd rather bounce my flash off surfaces.

This is a great item for the price. I have been taking my daughters pictures and with this bounce, they turn out better than with the diffuser connected to the flash.

I use this on a Canon 420EZ and it works perfectly. It fits snug on the flash head and goes on and off the flash with ease. It diffuses the light beautifully.

Just what I was looking for, but my one complaint would be that it doesn't snap in real tight so I worry that it will come off when I am using it. That being said so far it has never come off.

Comments about Sto-Fen #OM-B Omni-Bounce:
I recently ordered a popular diffuser only to discover that there was no possibility it would fit over the bezel of the Vivitar 285HV. My experience is contrary to some reviewer comments that it isn't secure on the flash head. Mine fits securely and works extremely well. I would absolutely recommend this for those needing a compact, low cost flash diffuser their 285HV.

Comments about Sto-Fen #OM-B Omni-Bounce:
I purchased this product to use with a Vivitar 283. It does a great job of creating a soft light that makes it possible to reduce or eliminate the appearance of having used a flash to make a photograph.
With the Vivitar, compensation is automatic, so no extra work is necessary. It does reduce the distance the flash will reach and for manual exposure, some calculation would be necessary - the info is provided with the Omni-Bounce.
This is one of the cheapest ways to improve flash photos. There are no moving parts, it attaches easily to the flash, and is durable and small.

I would prefer if it would go around the flash head as this you have to get it in between the space there is at the top of the flash.

Standard equipment for me when used on my Vivitar 285HV flash. Gives you a nice bare bulb look when used fairly close to subject. Also works well when shooting food items. Attach your flash to a closed monopod and hold it over the food items. Very soft and nice look, and very easy to do.

Good for what it is, a bit pricey for a piece of plastic, but B&H had the lowest price I found for it, so if you're in the market for a diffuser this is the place to go and the one to get. Does exactly what I want it to do-stays on, diffuses flash, comes off when I need it to.

Great way to diffuse the light. I use this with and without my softbox. With I get my light more evenly distributed within the box which then softens the light. Without I use it up high in a corner of a room to spread light throughout the room.

Softens light nicely. It does reduce the flash's output, so my flash is at full power while using the omni bounce. Works very well for an easy to carry diffuser.
