Featuring a clamping-style lock, this mount securely holds the heaviest shoe units. It will not loosen up while a locating pin ensures that it won't twist on the bracket. The Bracket Shoe Mount attaches with the bracket's mounting knob. Machined, solid aluminum construction.
Stroboframe makes mounts for every type of flash unit. This knob also functions to attach flash units with 1/4"-20 sockets or dedicated TTL cords.
Note! Requires 1/4 x 20 screw

This adapter works great on my Stroboframes.( It comes standard with the purchase of these brackets). I have the Quickflip 350, the Camera Flip, and the Pro RL. Holds the flash firmly in place. The only problem; it cracked the hotshoe of my Vivitar 285HV with the Quickflip 350. I had used this combo for years with a Lumniquest Pocket Bouncer; a lot of stress was placed on the flash hotshoe. With the flash in flipped mode, and with the added weight of the diffuser, the shoe finally gave out.
A great adapter!

clamps on to the flash fine, but the system seems a little rough on the foot. I would recommend taping it up with several layers of duct tape or a cushioned adhesive piece, such as the ones that they make to protect mouth pieces on woodwind instruments to not damage your flash. Construction on the screw seems a little flimsy.

..the silly extra little metal thread collar protruding from the base (hardly visible on product picture and not mentioned anywhere). This prevents the cold shoe from sitting flush against whatever you are attaching it to (using short brass pins as I do). I understand it serves some purpose when used with the corresponding Stroboframe Flash Bracket (which I don't) but to me it just gets in the way. It looks like a press fit but attempts to remove it with pliers have so far failed - a dremel or handfile should work. In effect it prevents the adaptor pin to slide fully into the lightstand, and if your pins are very short, you lose about 3mm of grip on their collars. Hard to explain, easy to see.
Apart from that, it is superior in every way to anything else you could mount a flash into.

This is a great shoe mount. Holds the flash perfectly with no contacts of flash touching the shoe mount. Be sure the tighter the screw.
A little bit pricy that I would like.
It has additional extra tiny screw hole at the bottom and I did have difficulty putting it on Manfrotto 026 Lite-Tite umbrella adapter. It doesn't smoothly falls on the adapter. This screw hole is for Stroboframe Flash adapter/bracket. It should have been made more universal. It does tighten after tightening the main screw on the umbrella adapter.
The construction is very good and will last a long time.

Much, much better than the ones included with nikon speedlights which are useless. Got 3 of these now.

Puts a very sturdy hold on my Nikon SB800 and SB900 flash units. I have every confidence in this product. Constructed of black anodized aluminum body and shoe rails. It is spring loaded which keeps the shoe open making it easy to insert your flash unit, and the lockup screw is easy to tension. Nicely designed and made.

Comments about Stroboframe Flash Mount Adapter - Standard Shoe Type:
I bought this to use with a Manfrotto flash adapter/umbrella holder, to hold my Nikon SB-600 flash. This Flash Mount Adapter seems to be made of aluminum and weighs about as much as maybe 5 pennies. I have to say it works extremely well. when the SB-600 is "clamped" in place it is extremely secure. The hollowed out area were the electrical contact pins are located are such that they will not touch this adapter and short out. I would buy this again, it is simple and very functional.
