Designed to fit Sony A700. No fuss or worry about fitment or size.
Took longer to take it out of package than to fit it onto the screen.
Easy to clean.
Only issue is scratches are permanent so need to be careful with handling it. Having said that, I rather the cover be scratched than the actual LCD screen.

This is a really simple way to protect the lcd screen on your camera. The one I had was getting scratched, so for a few bucks I thought I'd try a new one. I haven't used it enough to see how it will stand up, but they are cheap insurance. I like the clip-on protector way better than the film-and-adhesive type.

This is a great inexpensive protector for your A700
Some people say they cause a glare on your screen, but i have never had a problem with this on any of my Alpha's.
Wipes off easily, and if it gets scratched, you can't beat B & H's low price on this great Sony item.

It fits my a700 nicely and so far hasn't fallen off. The images on the LCD screen still look great with the protector on.

I really prefer the hard cover protector over the stick-on kind. The stick on's tend to peel at the corners after time.

I own a Sony a700. Fits perfect, it's nice n clear and it protects. Easy on easy off. If it gets scratched eventually...I'd gladly pay another [$]!

Does what it was designed for, protecting the back screen of the DSLR. So easy to bump the rear of the camera into something including belt buckles and other gear. Very nice peace of mind to have this cover in place. Has great optical clarity, hasn't shown any signs of scratches yet. Have only used it a few weeks though.

I use them on my Sony a700 bodies to protect the LCD screens. Much less expensive than replacing the screen itself.

The LCD cover attaches and removes easily. The image through the LCD is not degraded. It is thin enough that eye to viewfinder distance is not altered. It's a logical accessory because it is inexpensive and effective in protecting the LCD from smudges and scratches. I don't know the cost of repairing or replacing an LCD, but it is certainly much more expensive than the cost of this LCD cover.

I wanted to get some protection for the A700 LCD. I did a lot of research on the various products (glass and plastic) and decided with the genuine Sony LCD protector. Why? Because it can easily be removed vs the glass protectors that are semi permanately installed with double faced foam tape. The trade off vs glass is that the plastic scratches easily (which is why I gave it 4 stars} whereas the glass does not. Another criticisim I read about the Sony lcd protector is that because of it's clip on style, dust or grit has the chanace to get between the protector and the lcd with the potential of the lcd getting scratched. I fabricated a work around for this possiblity by attaching a VERY thin piece of a stick on rubbery foam type gasket material trimmed to the proper size to the portion of the lcd protector that faces the lcd screen. Worked perfectly. Now I have complete sealing of the lcd screen but can easily take off the protector if needed.

Fits perfectly and provides a degree of security knowing that the LCD screen is protected. Scratches rather easily, but given the price, it'll be easy to replace. I used to have a film-type protector, but that would only protect against scratches and not accidental knocks that could potentially crack the screen.

You've already invested big bucks into the camera, it doesn't make sense not to shell out a few extra bucks to protect the body's most fragile area.

I had been using the removable film cover which is ok but is to light of duty,(screen can still get scratched) So I thought I would order the plastic LCD cover that snaps on and give the screen much better protection and it does not impair the view at all. If you don't own a Leica M 8.2 with a saphire LCD, then this cover is a must. As a mater of fact I scratched my LCD on the camera's maiden voyage, so I'd recommend getting one of these when you get your camera. The quality of this cover deserves all 5 stars!

Fantastic (and cheap) insurance for your A700! The screen on the A700 is top notch and should be protected. This cover snaps on tightly and completely covers and protects the screen. Fit is perfect and now you can just wipe off the cover with anything (t-shirt, finger, etc.) and not be concerned about permanent damage. If you ruin the cover, just buy another one rather than living with a messed up camera.

This product is so necessary I believe it should be included in the camera package and not as an accessory. It snaps on so easily and does not compromise the image quality whatsoever. It really protects the camera's LCD and does not take up any extra space like the Hoodman and Delkin versions.

it is great to protect the big sony LCD screen, and it doesn't affect the screen. You'll see the same thing than without the protector. So I highly reccommend this prodct.
