For my latest project I decided to upgrade my microphone to gain better quality sound. After researching my options and talking to B&H, I chose the COS-11XP. My camera is pro/am and the fact that this microphone has a battery powered option allowed me to add professional sound quality. The results are stunning.

I was in need of a good lav mic for some critical interviews I was going to be shooting. My wireless lav wasn't really up to the task. After reading reviews on a few audio forums, I purchased this Sanken COS-11X and I'm glad I did. Great sounding mic and an excellent addition to my kit.

This is a great sounding Lav mic! It sounds a lot like my Schoeps MK4 mic. The only thing I don't like about this mic is the lack of an assortment of mounting devices as you can get for the TRAM. I wish Sanken would make more clips etc. I've had mine modified by having a connector put in the cable, making it compatible with my Lectrosonics wireless (same connections as my TRAM).
