This is a very good bag (well, of course it's made by Lowe Pro). I thought it would be a little larger though. It fits my canon 70-200 mm f/2.8L IS lens with 20D w/ vertical grip attached, 24-70 mm f/2.8L lens and canon flash. I had to remove the pouch to make space for gear. If I purchase any new gear I will need another bag.
This bag is great though. It's very comfortable. I will continue to use it even if I purchase a larger bag. There are always days that you don't need to carry everything with you.

I use this backpack to protect and carry my camera when outdoors. I like that I can put a water bottle on the side. But it's hard to reach (when wearing it) if I just want a sip. I have plenty of space inside. I love the two buckles - one at the hip and one across the chess. This makes the backpack easier to carry on your back.
One design flaw for me is when you attach the tripod. It is very awkward to put down. I have to be extra careful when walking by narrow paths. I don't want to scratch it by accidentally brushing up against anything nor knock it out of the holding pouch. And it only holds small tripods.
I like the backpack, it's safe for my equipment inside and it's easy on my back. I will not recommend it because the tripod holder feels so insecure to me.

Comments about Lowepro Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):
I use the Lowepro Flipside 200 to carry a portion of my camera gear when I don't want to carry my big bag. In the Flipside 200 I have a Canon 7D, EFS 18-135mm, EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS, 1.4x tele-converter, extra battery and charger, remote switch, flash cards, a pair of binoculars and a pair of glasses. There is still more room for another small lens or maybe some extension tubes.
This is the perfect bag to travel with it fits in small places. This is the perfect bag if you are going to be in a crowd of people. There is only one small issue the side pocket is a little small, it is hard to zip the zipper if there was just a little more material for the pocket cover it would be good, this did not keep me from rating this bag at 5 stars. Lowepro is defiantly the only camera bag you should own they are durable and well built. I hope this review will help in making your choice. For me I made the correct choice.

Perfect bag if you have 3 lenses. I have a Canon t2i and 3 lenses that I typically take with me. holds everything great. love the customizable interior and the tripod holder is very nice. Only complaint is that in order to make is sit on your back comfortably, it needs to sit lower and then the top of the tripod tends to angle outward and back and bumps in to things. wish that it had a built in rain cover like many other lowepro bags do.

Comments about Lowepro Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):
the bag is super compact, a lot smaller than i originally thought. comfortable to carry and holds a good days worth of gear. things get a little tight but was able to put in my t2i with 24-70L (w/hood) attached, 70-200L 4.0 (w/hood), 50m prime, a flash unit, shotgun microphone, 2 filters, and spare cards and batteries. normally i wouldn't carry so much but was backpacking in Taiwan. all this with a tripod can get a little heavy, but again it's comfortable to carry for a day. it rained and my equipment was safe and dry. opening the bag from the inside can be a hassle, but it does keep it safe and secure when there are a lot of people around. if i had to do it again, i'd probably go with the larger bag...

Comments about Lowepro Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):
I bought this as a present for my mother. I wanted her to have a light bag where she can carry and organize all her cameras. Usually she sticks them in a regular bag. And she doesn't like shoulder bags because it feels heavy for her. I wanted to give her something very small and light weight. This was perfect. The two straps are very comfortable and help make it feel very light. The only thing smaller was a Tamrac travel bag but this was more stylish and had the ability to carry a monopod. Monopod is great to have so she can shoot video over a crowd of people. This is her gear she can fit in the bag: Slik Lighty Pod 100 (available only at my local store) or Slik Lighty Pod III, Sony NEX 5, Canon G10, Sony HDR-CX150, and 2 Panasonic Lumix cameras plus room for more. I haven't heard her complain about the weight and she loves it.

I use this for my Lumix DMC-Z100. More than enough room to add my old DMC-Z7 as well.
Love that it opens in the back for security & for keeping my back clean. If I lay it on the ground to open it, any dirt it picks up is on the front and not transferred to me when I put the backpack back on.
Love that I can move the dividers around to fit my needs too.

This must be my 6th camera bag and its one of my favorites. It will fit a Nikon D700 with grip. Although it just fits it still feels ok to wear the pack. I have a Flipside 300 also which is perfect for the Nikon D700 with grip. I plan to use the 200 to transport my Nikon 300mm F2.8 with teleconverter on the back of another person...sweet and light

Perfect back pack. I love it. Very well constructed. Padded. Light. Nice looking.
Only bad thing is the zipper is a little cheap and its not deep enough to hold my 50d with the batt grip. I'm gonna keep it and use it anyway though.

This is a good quality backpack for mountaineer, cross country and backpack travel.
I purchased this bag because it provides a tripod holder, harness, adjustable interior and it looks cool :D
You may carry:
(Accessories include Filters, Remote or lightmeter)
A. 1 DSLR Body (600D/D5100/E-5) + 2 Zoom Lenses + 1 prime Lens + Flash + Accessories
B. 1 Professional DSLR Body (5D/D700/D300) + 1 wide angle Zoom (17-40/24-105) + 1 Tile Zoom (70-200mm)
C. 1 SLR Body (OM-system) + 3~5 Prime Lenses (28 to 300mm) + Accessories
D. 1 Mirrorless Body (G/GH Series/NEX/NX) + 4~5 Lenes + Flash + Accessories (+ 1 point&shot or GF2 Body)
Please note:
1. You are not able to carry Laptop (iPad may be OK)
2. The bag looks very small for a big man
3. Just enough to hold a 1.5 KG Tripod, loose
4. Access from back, not convenient for snapshot
5. Zipper is hard to go through the angle
6. Inconvenient for street photography
7. Might be too small for 1D & D3 series.
In summary, it does not suit many heavy equipment, no quick access. But good fashion looking & secure for light travelers and beginners. Hand carry luggage in airplane permitted. Recommended for mirrorless users .

I was looking for a new case for my new camera. I saw and decided to buy the LowePro flipside backpack. I really like that the camera is safe - not just from weather but also from getting smashed and damaged by other things in a bag not as well designed. Also since the zipper is on the inside everything is safe from pickpockets.
The zipper is tight around the top corners, but if you push the flap in a bit the zipper moves easier. It is also laborious getting things in and out (i.e. I can't get to anything without taking the bag off).
The zipper can be a pain, but otherwise I am very happy with bag protects my camera and extra lenses.

This is an ideal little backpack for carrying an small camera and a couple of lenses. Inside zipper is marvelous for security. Light weight and very comfortable. Can carry around all day! Only complaint is that the side pocket is very small and tight. Good for CF or SD memory cards, keys, etc.

This bag is the perfect size camera bag for me. I will be traveling soon, and I wanted something that would just hold my camera with lens attached, an extra lens, and my small extras, like battery charger, GPS tracker, etc. So far everything is a perfect fit.

Very compfortable straps, make hiking with your camera gear a piece of cake. I can carry my camera body, with 3 lenses: a 28mm, an 85mm, and a 70-200mm. Room for a flash as well. Great little pocket at the top for your car keys, etc. I use this pack for concert photography and feel my gear is well protected. It opens up from the part that faces your back, so there is no risk of anyone getting in there while it is on your back. And the price is great. They make a slightly larger size as well if you need more room.

I have a Sony A33 with kit lens, 50mm fixed lens, and the 75-300mm zoom lens. All of this fits in the bag along with a pouch where I store the charger and cables and manual. There are pockets everywhere. Very durable and I love how it opens in the back instead of the front. I carry my cell phone, ipod, keys, glasses, cards and cash in the two side pockets. Very roomy for such a small bag. I love it.

Comments about Lowepro Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):
I bought this backpack because of the security features. However, I found the zipper is not very smooth especially around the corner, the shoulder straps are just too stiff and uncomfortable for me, the side net pocket is not big enough for a water bottle, the inside design make it very difficult to reach the things at the bottom and finally the long divider is too long and I have to push a bit before I can put my camera inside. Very disappointed about this product.
