I purchased these after my second set of M-Audio Studio monitors when bad. Comparing them, the Studiodock has a better sound, more functionality. I like the iPod dock and it works with the latest ipod touch. I am critical of my audio while doing video editing and so far I can't complain. In the past these were a little pricey to consider, but B&H's current price can't be beat.

great value, simple design and setup. Bass could use a bit more kick. I haven't used the computer digital line in yet.

These speakers are useful, but have a few flaws. The power button is hidden in the back. The volume knob is tiny and hard to twist. And, the sound is OK. The bass response is almost non-existent and there is no way to control it. Fine for your Ipod, but don't expect detail or imaging or punch or anything you would typically buy a speaker for.

Super clear, great sounding monitors. I live in an apartment so I haven't been able to crank it, but I've inched up there and so far so good. They sound amazing for the price. USB connectivity lets me connect my laptop with zero effort, and the iPhone/iPod dock is an added bonus. Love them!

I purchased these speakers a few days ago, for use with my video editing system. So far I've been very impressed with how these speakers sound! The USB connection is great - everything sounds really clear and the volume is great. I've yet to get these up more than 3/4 of the way and they're really loud there! Great sound and plenty of volume! One reason why I opted for these is the iPod dock. I have an iPhone, and while I wasn't sure that the iPhone would work with these speakers, I was confidant that at least I wouldn't get all the "buzzing" that comes from lack of shielding. My last pair of desktop monitors interfered constantly with my iPhone. I'm happy to say that these, while they do occasionally buzz when around the phone, are for the most part, just fine right beside them! The speakers are just shielded much better than most I guess - and the iPhone (I've got iPhone 3G) works with the dock! I say "no" when the device asks if I want to go into airplane mode. The speaker docks works great to charge and sync the iPhone, and plays music from the iPhone ipod as well. I guess the drawback is that occasionally there is a reaction (right before the phone rings the speakers will buzz a little bit - I guess they have problems with the cell signal coming through to the phone). That reaction only happens a few times a day though and is not that big of a deal. It's definitely better than how my last desktop speakers reacted to the iPhone - and now I can leave the phone sitting on top of the speakers - charging! Pretty sweet! I give this product 4 stars instead of 5 only because the volume knob on the front of the speakers is pretty small and hard to get a hand on quickly. And I'm a female, with small hands!
