Comments about Liquid Image Digital Underwater Camera Mask:
I bought this for my snorkeling trip in Aruba. The camera did its job well. The only complaint is that it's impossible to tell what status the camera is in once you get into the water. You can't tell if the indicator is red (still photo mode) or blue (video mode). I wish the designer put the light in a different place so that it's more visiable when you wear it.

Comments about Liquid Image Digital Underwater Camera Mask:
The mask allows you to shoot underwater videos and photos down to the depth of 5 m (15 ft), which is enough for the vast majority of uncertified divers/snorkelers. For scuba divers and hardcore freedivers, Liquid Image makes more expensive models certified for 20 m (65 ft) and 40 m (130 ft).
The operation takes only a bit of getting used to, and the mask itself is lightweight and reasonably compact, creating no noticeable extra drag when swimming. It is a lot more convenient than a conventional handheld underwater camera box, especially if you have no buoyancy compensator. For breath-hold diving, my usual swimming speed was a bit too fast for a video, so I had to slow myself down a bit. Of course, it's easier to swim at a leisurely pace if the supply of air is not an issue, e.g. when snorkeling on the surface or scuba/snuba diving.
To correct the color balance, Liquid Image opted for filters on the lens instead of built-in color balance correction on the digital side, which I perceive as a minor shortcoming. Digital correction would probably be more convenient and flexible, and would allow for a better utilization of the camera sensitivity.
Overall, the camera mask is more or less limited to amateur shooting, yet performs flawlessly within its intended operating range and is definitely worth its price. When going on vacation to a place with lots of underwater life in shallow waters, do yourself a favor and get one.

I used the camera mask while snorkeling in northern British Columbia. Easy to use, lightweight, well made and it took fantastic pictures. I'm looking forward to purchasing the advanced scuba model.

Comments about Liquid Image Digital Underwater Camera Mask:
My 14 year old daughter used this on a Galapagos trip and her photos are just fantastic. It took her a few diving expeditions to get used to lining things up properly, and she also learned how to make the most of lighting (there is no flash so closer is better), but by the end of the trip she was a pro. It's pretty durable and the mask fits well and is made well. I'm not sure how much more expensive this item would be with some kind of lighting or flash but it would be my only recommendation for improvement. And yes, there is the drawback that the light potentially would frighten away your subject!
