Robust and Sturdy, Quick release base is a plus although the safety pin is a little odd.

Comments about Manfrotto by BogenImaging 3229 Swivel Tilt Head with Quick Release:
Like pretty much anything by Bogen, this is a solid piece of equipment that is truly professional grade. Still takes me a second to figure out the quick release at times but that is a small price to pay for the security of knowing your camera is locked the monopod. I've had other heads release unexpectedly so this head is a welcome addition.

Makes a wonderful addition to my monopod (676B) and the RC2 quick release is great for lightweight use.
I recently used this at at outdoor concert in addition to a tripod with the same quick release mechanism and was very happy with the convenience it provided.

Nice swivel head with a good quick release. The only thing missing is vertical tilt but sitting on my monopod that doesn't matter :)

Comments about Manfrotto by BogenImaging 3229 Swivel Tilt Head with Quick Release:
I have owned a couple of these heads and used them with Manfrotto 3231 (682B) and 680B monopods in conjunction with Canon 10D and 40D cameras with lenses up to 70-200 in size. This pretty much tests the limits of the head I have had no problems or noticed signs of wear or fatigue. The quick release function is handy and works smoothly. Just be sure you engage the lock.

Great build quality, providing great value, especially for an amatuer photographer on a budget. Many tilt heads at this price point are not built nearly as well. I like the quick-release plate since it works interchangeably with my quick-release tripods made by another manufacturer. Of course it also works perfectly with my Manfrotto 676B monopod.

Used for photographing with a monopod. The quick release and swivel mechanisms work well; at least I have yet to experience slippage or sagging. This head is not light.
