Comments about Bower SFD-RL71 Large Digital LED Ring Light:

The large model ring light appears to share its electronics with the smaller version; however, the ac-dc-off switch on the larger light has a much more solid feel and the charging circuit has proved very reliable. The effective throw of this light is under 10 inches, so take this working distance into account when adding this accessory to your kit.

Comments about Bower SFD-RL71 Large Digital LED Ring Light:

Coupled with my f/2.8 Canon, this LED based Light Ring allows me to capture macros without the harsh light that ring flash units can produce. It is not a replacement for a proper ring flash, it is a tool to use when the ring flash is too much. Although the power cord can get in the way, it is convenient so that I am not burning through batteries.
