Comments about Manfrotto 080 Monopod Belt Pouch:
I use the monopod belt pouch in conjunction with my DSLR video rig. I shot for 3 days, 14 hours each without any problems. This product helps distribute the weight of the camera to your waist, it really saved my arms from getting tired.

Comments about Manfrotto 080 Monopod Belt Pouch:
It makes my life really easier while shooting those long lasting handheld ones, or just walking around the subject with the camcorder mounted to the mono pod. Looks a little bid funny when fixed to the belt right under your belly, and mono pod sits there. But usability wins.

Comments about Manfrotto 080 Monopod Belt Pouch:
This is nice if you are on the move and want your long lens ready to fire. It is not as stable as having your monopod grounded but better the free handing with a long heavy lens.

Comments about Manfrotto 080 Monopod Belt Pouch:
I plan to return this product, even though it is a fine idea, designed to make field treks less tiring. It is may not be worth the cost, even though well constructed of heavy nylon. This product gave me the idea to scrounge up a piece of leather and design my own. The fold which holds the monopod foot is a bit too small for my Bogen 6858 NeoTec monopod. The fit is tight, and I often want to deploy my gear very quickly. I also want something that is going to be unquestionably durable.
If you simply want to use a monopod as it rests at the beltline, not needing to deploy it, this product may be adequate, providing the foot fits the fold of the pouch.

Comments about Manfrotto 080 Monopod Belt Pouch:
I was shocked how well it works. I bought the pouch just as a trial…not expecting much. I am very happy at how this serves to stabilize the camera. I use it with a 50-500mm Sigma lens. The lens is over 4 lbs alone. Tack on a Sony A-100 and then the monopod. Has to be about 7 lbs all together. Even in less than perfect light, images are sharp. My only concern is how long it will last. It is a very tough fabric…but time will tell. I have had the monopod in it for about 5 hours in the field and no sign of wear at all…even if you have to buy two a year, it is worth the price!
