I used this waterproof bag with my Lumix TZ5. I was skeptical because it basically is a glorified ziplock bag for your point and shoot camera. But,after several snorkel trips while on vacation I have to say that it works quite well. It took some playing with to get it set up just right. I.E you don't want to take too much air out of it because you wont be able to turn dials on your camera but you do want to take most of the air out in order to keep the camera from moving around and having the lens pop out of the lens port. One thing I didn't like is the that since my camera has a 28mm wide angel lense I did get some vignetting when zoomed all the way out but since most P&S cameras don't go as wide as 28mm most people will not have this problem. All in all if you only shoot underwater pix occasionally and don't dive down too far it's definitely worth the $

I purchased this product for a white-water kayaking trip through the Grand Canyon - lots of water and sand! I also intended to use it on our sailboat.
The bag was easy to pack, lightweight and kept the camera dry.
It was clumsy to use. Unless the camera's lens was exactly aligned with the case's lens portal, it would not extend and the camera would indicate "lens error." Lost many shots because of this. Tried securing the case around the camera with rubber bands, which helped but didn't solve the problem. The thick vinyl also made it hard to use the camera's button, wheel and slide controls. I gave up trying to use the lens zoom feature because it would catch on the thick vinyl and either not zoom or be pulled back to normal by the vinyl when the small control was released.
By the end of the trip, the vinyl seaming had begun to come apart along the sides at the press-and-seal opening.

Comments about DiCAPac WP-510 Waterproof Case:
Works well when used with Nikon S9100 P&S. There is some play in the fit for the S9100, but by adding some padding below the camera and on the left side, the fit is better. It's possible to zoom the lens out a bit also. Waterproofing is excellent.

Comments about DiCAPac WP-510 Waterproof Case:
I used this product with a Canon Powershot A520 and it worked great. I'm so glad I was able to find a cheap way to make my camera waterproof before a last minute trip to Hawaii. Yes, it can be a little annoying turning the knobs and pushing the buttons through the plastic, but it's so much cheaper than getting an actual waterproof casing for your particular camera, and the bonus is that IT FLOATS (or mine did, anyway, though I guess if you pushed enough air out of it before sealing it it might not.) The fact that it floats could be a total lifesaver if you were to accidentally drop your camera into the deep. It's nice that the lens part unscrews; that way you can (when you're above water and want even clearer pics) unscrew it but not worry about getting your camera wet because the rest of the casing is still on it. Just be sure never to get water or grit or sand in the bag (it doesn't leak in, but I mean don't accidentally get it in there somehow) because then it'll be hard to get out, or there might be condensation. Totally cool product; let's you take pics you could otherwise never take so it's totally worth it if you don't want to invest in a serious underwater custom-fit camera casing. Who wants to deal with disposable underwater real-film cameras when you could buy this and use your regular, higher quality digital camera underwater. It seriously does NOT leak at ALL. I took it with me on an hour long manta ray night snorkeling tour, for example, and it was under water the entire time and fine. Just make sure you seal it properly.

I was skeptical when I bought it but it's perfect! It fits my Samsung TL500/EX1. It's not to tight but not too loose. The lens ring also fits right. It was great for taking underwater pictures in the Bahamas.

Comments about DiCAPac WP-510 Waterproof Case:
I decided to try this waterproof camera bag because I did not want to spend a lot of money for an actual point and shoot digital waterproof camera. I figured for the price, the waterproof bag was worth a try. We went on a sailing charter to the British Virgin Islands and I needed to keep my camera dry for snorkeling and boating.I used this product with a Nikon Coolpix S8100. I measured the dimensions of my Nikon and determined it would fit in this size bag.[...] Overall, I was very pleased with using the waterproof bag. Not only did it keep my camera dry while snorkeling, but with the included neck strap, I kept the bag and my camera around my neck, so I could access my camera while moving around the sailboat and going out for rides in the dingy. After reading other reviews, I tested the bag before our trip and figured out how to set my camera for snorkeling. I bumped up the ISO to 1600 or 3200 to compensate for low lighting underwater. I also got comfortable with zooming the lens a tiny bit while in the bag, to remove the chance of seeing the outside rim of the lens housing. However, when I did see the lens housing in a photo, it didn't look that bad and was able to crop out most of it. The hardest part was getting the camera set in the bag and holding it in position so it wouldn't move. While using underwater, it is very hard to see on the camera what you are taking pictures of when snorkeling, so don't expect to get "the shot" every time. Even when my camera did not focus on what I was trying to get, the photo actually ended up looking OK. I was able to take video underwater, which was really cool. I was also able to make changes to my camera's settings while in the water thru the bag. I could zoom and access some of the buttons. I had to remember to change the ISO back to auto when bringing the camera up out of the water to take an above water photo. I did get water droplets on the lens when out of the water, but blew on the lens to remove them. As with any important trip, the more photos you take at different settings, the better chance you have of getting great pictures.I would recommend this to anyone who wants an inexpensive way to take photos underwater up to 20 feet deep. I was very pleased with my photos and how the bag kept my camera dry.

Comments about DiCAPac WP-510 Waterproof Case:
I took this case to protect my Nikon S9100 while snorkeling in the Caribbean. It kept my camera bone dry. The picture quality was surprisingly good considering that the lens is plastic. The only word of caution is be careful about zooming. The case might not be able to handle the full extension of the lens. Also, make sure that you push the lens to the end of the plastic housing so that you do not get the black ring showing up in photos.

Bought this for a trip to Hawaii, specifically for snorkeling but it also came in handy due to rainy conditions.
Get use to operating the camera inside this container before using it in the water.
Before I need to take underwater pictures again I will be buying a camera that has a waterproof housing already designed for it.

It's basically a thick ziplock bag for your camera, but it's way cheaper than buying a waterproof digital compact camera.
Really, it's a good solution to making your camera beach- and pool-proof.

Comments about DiCAPac WP-510 Waterproof Case:
I purchased this product to be used with an older Panasonic Lumix LZ3. My wife and I went snorkeling in Cozumel and the Cayman Islands and wanted to take something a little better than a disposable underwater camera, but did not want to spend alot of money for a hard-shell case. The case itself is constructed well and passed the initial testing I did at home(no water inside). The camera fit into the case snug-ly and worked fairly well. I was able to get several shots of fish, coral, etc. The case did not seem to bother the focal point of the lense as I feared and I only ended up with a few shots out of 400+ that were focused on the inside of the lense extension. However, I will say that there were times when I had trouble keeping the camera in place so that the extended lense on my camera did not bump up against the case and auto-retract back in. Also, if you plan on purchasing this case please be aware that you will probably not be able to use the LCD viewfinder to take your pictures. The soft plastic tended to stick to the viewfinder and made it impossible to see what was going on. I was forced to blindly take alot of pictures with the zoom all the way out hoping to capture what I was seeing. Afterwards, I noticed that some moisture built up inside the case even with a silicone pack inside. I'm pretty sure this was due to the humidity present when I sealed the camera inside, but it still made me a bit nervous (hence using an older camera I didn't necessarily care about). Overall - for the money I spent I am pretty happy with the results. The pictures that did come out were not bad and my camera survived the trip. If you are looking for a good intermediate between a disposable underwater camera and a full-blown hard shell case this is a good alternative.

Cost-effective, works well, camera stayed perfectly dry. About the right size for my Panasonic LX3.
However for the 24mm wide angle of a LX3, the lens barrel is not wide enough. Severe vignetting results until zoomed to 40mm or so-- this may be why Dicipac recommends the larger WP-610 over the 510? (I don't know for sure as I have not actually seen or used a WP-610).
And the camera still does move around a bit inside.

Comments about DiCAPac WP-510 Waterproof Case:
This underwater case kept the camera dry while we dived the keys to 35 ft. and picture quality was good for my cheap GE digital. However, because it's a soft case the water pressure made using difficult at depth without prep: don't squeeze the air out before sealing; turn camera on and set any dials and center properly before case is squeezed around camera like it was vacuum sealed.

Comments about DiCAPac WP-510 Waterproof Case:
Only using my old small Sony 5MP point and shoot to try it out so if it leaks no biggy; but the image quality is excellent considering it is viewing through the WP-510 lense cover (not glass). I thought the quality would suffer but it is actually nice. No leaks either. Just need to get used to turning the knobs inside the case. Tested in my pool with my wife and kids. Need to watch for the rim of the lense case showing in your pics. If you prepare, you'll get good shots. Considering the price and the picture you get compared to those disposable under water cams - this one wins. Maybe I will get one for DSLR size.

Went on a vacation to Cozumel for snorkeling (ended up getting scuba certified)- wanted to shoot some underwater pics while there so I used this with a Sony digital camera-no leakage at all and worked fairly well once I got the hang of working the buttons through the plastic. No complaints with the case at all but I would spend a bit more and get a hard case if I did it again...for once a year use or for sand/spray protection while at the beach this is great and it works for snorkeling but I plan on doing much more than this one trip so probably should have gotten a hard case.

While it was a little big for my Nikon S560 - the zoom space was perfect. I took this to New Zealand for my vacation and I loved it!
It kept my camera nice and dry - even when I took it down in the water about 5ft.
A great option for waterproofing a camera that does not cost an arm and a leg.

This is our second case, one for each camera. This works great in the pool, the kids love the ease of taking pictures with the small cameras.
So far, no leaks. We do let it dry completely before using it again, and do not leave it out in the sun.
