Comments about Sony NWZ-S738FBNC 8GB Noise Cancelling Walkman Video MP3 Player (Black):
I travel a lot for college sports, and this device is excellent for it. It's small size and battery life makes it ideal for travel, in addition to the noise-canceling feature headphones. The software is really easy to use and the audio quality is amazing.
My only qualms about it are the storage space and the headphones. Even though the headphones included are pretty good, they become uncomfortable after prolonged use. Also, standard headphones are unable to use the noise-canceling feature. The 8GB storage space is the largest Sony has to offer, so it's a little pricey for the size.
However, the pro's outweigh the con's and I think it's definitely worth the $ for all that is included.

Comments about Sony NWZ-S738FBNC 8GB Noise Cancelling Walkman Video MP3 Player (Black):
Sound quality is far better than my wife's ipod nano (4th gen). Operation is very simple. I can drag and drop mp3 files with explorer. No need to run extra software to transfer. FM reception is also good with my KOSS KSC-35 headphones. I love it.

Comments about Sony NWZ-S738FBNC 8GB Noise Cancelling Walkman Video MP3 Player (Black):
I purchased this MP3 player after reading several reviews.
It has excellent battery life which is important to me as I use it on long haul business trips.
The sound quality is first class and it is easy to use.
It does however have a few flaws:
The jack on the ear buds has a raised key which means you cannot use the same buds to connect to a two pin adapter for connection to to aircraft entertainment system unless you run it through the MP3 player. Sony say that this is to enable you to utilize the noise cancellation features of the player in conjunction with the aircraft system. In reality it is inconvenient and un-necessary.
The noise canceling feature is handy on flights but it only works with the supplied buds (I guess this is why they have the raised key in the jack). This wouldn't be a problem except the ear buds are very uncomfortable if worn for a long time. I have abandoned them in favor of my old Shure ear buds which are I find much more comfortable. I am a bit disappointed in this as one of the reasons I purchased this player in the first place was the noise cancellation feature.
