If you've got the coin to buy the Leica D-Lux 4 in the first place, then spring for this traditional style sewn leather case. It's well made, fits the camera like a glove and it's handy to use: A magnetic latch keeps the case shut and secure, but the flap lifts easily to allow the camera to slide out in a jiffy. It's got a nice velour lining and high-quality fittings and an ample, detachable strap. My only disappointments are that the case only has light padding and is there are absolutely no pockets on the case for accessories, which means you have to carry a separate case for the Leica viewfinder, accessory lenses, SD cards, etc.

Comments about Leica Leather Case (Brown):
I bought this case with my Leica D-Lux 5. I didn't want to receive my camera and not have a case to protect it. Actually, this case if for Leica D-Lux 4 only, the D-Lux 5 also fit, but it's a bit tight. If you have a 5, wait the for the right case.

The leather case for the Leica D-Lux 4 is both beautiful in look and feel and provides excellent protection for the camera. The retro design is quite classic.

Comments about Leica Leather Case (Brown):
OK, so went the cheaper route and bought the Lumix LX3 instead of the Leica DLux but that doesn't mean I couldn't afford a really cool case for it. This one fits perfectly, is really well padded to protect the camera and worth every penney. Your buying more than a status symbol here. Best feature is the wrist strap for the camera. I like certain retro features but the neck strap that came with the LX3 just isn't my style anymore.

Comments about Leica Leather Case (Brown):
I bought this soon after I got the camera. It has a long enough strap that I can wear it on the diagonal, so the camera and case are against my left side
and less conspicuous. The camera comes out fairly quickly and easily, so I can get shots out on the street without missing too many, and it is reasonably easy to get it back into the case and securely fastened. I like the short hand strap that came with this case, since it fits nicely into the top of the case with the camera. I also think it is a far nicer camera case in appearance and workmanship than most other point and shoot camera cases I have seen.

This Leica case is very functional. You can take the camera out
without any effort because of the vertical design.

I bought this case for my Panasonic LX3. It fits the camera perfectly and feels and looks great. Very nice case. Some people might think it's expensive, but you pay for quality even with cases. I have no complaints.

Comments about Leica Leather Case (Brown):
I used an aftermarket case for a few weeks and broke down and got this one after feeling the other case didn't protect the camera well enough. I love this case. It fits the camera like a glove, as the other reviewers have said. It's luxurious. It's not trendy looking. And I feel like the camera is well protected; I carry it with me in my computer bag every day. I also loved that it came with a wriststrap for the camera. That might seem like a small thing, but I prefer the wriststrap to the neckstrap that comes with the camera.
Doesn't bother me that you can't fit any accessories in this case. If I really want to carry extra accessories, I use a bigger case. But for everyday "have the camera ready to go" use? I love this case.

Comments about Leica Leather Case (Brown):
Yes, it's just a camera case. And the camera inside the case is just a Leica. The quality and workmanship never end. Although not exactly an "eveready" case, it is extremely stylish, sporting a beautiful finish, and if used with it's belt loop like a holster, gives quick and easy access to the camera. This case is a genuine source of pride and worthy companion to the D-Lux_4. Highly recommended!

Comments about Leica Leather Case (Brown):
This brown leather case is a must-have for the Leica D-Lux 4 owner. Beautifully crafted from brown leather, this case has a retro look and feel that 's sure to turn heads as it protects your D-Lux 4.
The solid construction and ample padding will let you rest assured that your camera is well protected. The case comes with a neck strap and, unlike the similar case for the D-Lux 3, this one comes with a matching wrist strap -- a nice touch that compliments the case.
The only downside is the price but, given what a D-Lux 4 costs, I was happy to fork over the cash.

Comments about Leica Leather Case (Brown):
This case is very sturdy and adds a lot to the cool factor of having the camera. It is one of the reasons I chose the camera in the first place. It adds to the mystique of this brand with its retro/photojournalist look. I love it.

4 star because it's pricey ($124) for a fitted case.
Bought it together with the Leica D-Lux 4 as x-mas present for my wife.
Unable to use the camera strap that comes with the camera, must use the hand strap that comes with this case.

Case is beautiful. If you are getting the D-Lux 4, may as well spring for this. Leather is beautiful, and is very solidly constructed.
