The Pure Digital 30 Minute Point & Shoot Camcorder is so easy to use, anyone can record home videos. All you have to do is point the camera at your subject, press record and shoot. That's it! I purchased 20 of this item to use with my first grade students. It is definitely easy to use and fun to use. My students are always begging to get their hands on these camcorders. The controls are simple. It's built very well that even when my first graders are holding it I don't have to worry much.Two things that I found negative with this model of the flip camcorders are: 1) This model requires 2 AA batteries to be operated. It does come with 2 batteries in its package, but they were already low when I started the camcorder up. If it had an internal rechargeable battery like other flip camcorders it would be great! 2) To use it with iMovie '08 requires some prep to your computer. Videos are saved in the .AVI format and compatibility with iMovie isn't as easy as other camcorders. Downloading a codec is necessary to make it work. ([@])Overall it meets most of my needs. Most importantly my students love it.

I bought this product several weeks ago. When I got it I thought to return it imedately, however, I held on to it long enough to get a feel for it.
I think that the FLIP is a good cam. because it's very good to take a quick video and upload it to youtube or other websites. I did find several flaws with the FLIP. I hid it somewhere and when I came back I found the FLIP on the ground and when I turned it on about 10 min. were gone and there was no saved video. I tried this again and the same thing happened. Ever since, the FLIP has taken off a few seconds on the memory of the cam. with every video.
