The Fujifilm Instax 200 Camera is a compact lightweight camera that uses the Fujifilm ISO 800 instant film to provide vivid, high-quality prints almost instantly. Its automatically-adjusting flash, high-resolution retracting lens and big clear viewfinder add up to excellent picture quality. Great for home use, outdoors, family occasions, and more.
The focus free lens is great for shots as close as 0.9', and the Auto flash is great for pictures in any light. combined with the use of the Instax film which carries a rating of ISO 800, this camera comes in very handy in low light scenarios.

I am a big fan of instant photography, and this camera is not only a great camera, it's a great value!
Fuji has really exceeded Polaroid in the quality, sharpness, and color accuracy of their instant film products. Believe me, you will be blown away by the image quality! Forget what you were getting from Polaroid images, this is a quantum leap forward. The images appear and look great in about a minute, the image will then slowly cure and finalize and hit optimized contrast/color in about 3 hours.
I have been using the Fuji Instax Mini film and camera for a couple of years, the addition of the larger image Instax Wide film and camera is like a dream come true!
As an operational note, when you turn the camera on, it defaults to the close focus range (approx. 3 to 9.5 feet). If you are taking an image further away, you'll need to manually set the focus distance.
If you like instant photography, or a curious about it, then you will be delighted both with this camera and the film it uses.

It's got some limitations: The lack of focus is bothersome (it has two settings, "near" and "far", and the near setting seems to be about 6 feet -- can't find an exact spec for the focus mechanism anywhere). Self-portraits are impossible because it has no cable release, it's closest focus setting is farther than the length of my arm, and you can't shoot in the mirror because it see its own flash and underexposes (as you can see in this photo, the Instax image is underexposed, whereas the 5D's image is fine).
So it's limited. Very limited. On the plus side, color rendition is excellent under tungsten and fluorescent -- haven't tried daylight yet -- it allows force-flash so it should make nice backlit portraits. It's lightweight. Loads very easily.
Anyway, if you want an instant camera this is the only one easily available in the US, so you have to work around its problems or give up on instant. I've decided I really want a Polaroid-like camera, so I'm learning how to use it.

We used it to take "Pictures with Santa" at a craft fair. We took 80 pictures in two hours and didn't put a dent in the AA batteries it runs on. The comically large size and cartoon-like look of it make people smile automatically which is great! It's very easy to use, the film is easy & quick to load, the pictures are a good size and they all turned out great. I highly recommend it for everyone (except maybe James Bond)

Comments about Fujifilm Instax 200 Instant Camera:
I bought this camera to use on a trip to Irian Jaya - from experience it's a big hit to be able to offer instant print images to villagers in remote places, and so much more satisfying than showing them a digital image. It replaces my trusty Polaroid cameras for which film is no longer available, and the Instax fully delivered the goods. Colours are truer than the Polaroid film, the flash is optional rather than default, and it seems reasonably robust. Film also seems a little less expensive than Polaroid 600, maybe because the battery to power the flash was incorporated in every Polaroid 600 film pack. Two drawbacks - out of five 10-shot film packs, one failed to eject the film after the shot, although it worked okay after I opened the back and re-inserted the film pack for the loss of just one sheet, and the viewfinder doesn't quite match the printed image - there's a little less on the top of the film than the viewfinder suggests.

I really love this camera! I've raved about it to everyone I know already and the B&H price (when I bought it) is way below their competitors so this is the perfect place to buy it. The only issues I have are that you can't turn the flash off and there is just a natural learning curve before you can take gorgeous, interesting pictures. At almost $1/shot (B&H sells the cheapest film too, btw) its hard to just run around and experiment with it to get used to how it works but I'm still in love despite my own lack of expertise. Also, this thing is huge. I heard it was big but its like the size of a playskool my-first-camera when you have hands the size of a toddler, haha. Still love it! So glad i bought it!

I purchased the camera to use at my son's wedding to take pictures of guests for the wedding guest book. I needed an easy to use instant camera and this one was perfect for my situation!! I'm very glad that I found it while searching for instant cameras.
It's also a fun throwback to the old instant camera days.

Comments about Fujifilm Instax 200 Instant Camera:
Big, fun camera. It's a real throwback to snap a shot and watch a print come motoring out. It is very easy to use and the prints are very "Polaroid." They have a cool, retro look and classic color.
The prints aren't square like the old Polaroids, but shaped more like old 35mm lab prints... Which are too small for my tastes. Also, I have to remember to check the focus button, which has two settings, less than 3 meters or more than 3 meters, though I can't really tell a difference.
On the plus side, I love the slightly golden-color flash which fills skin tone beautifully. The body is big and sturdy, comfy to use (more natural to use than the old weird-shape Polaroids, IMHO.)
It's good, old-fashioned fun to slowly watch an image emerge from the blank film. For me, this camera has restored a lot of the good old fun of photography.
Highly recommended

The camera was bigger than I anticipated, but the photos were of a better quality too. Was perfect for what we needed -- quick develop pictures for a store in Manhattan for people to walk away with a memory from the store.

What's cool? Easy to hold and has a fun real camera look about it. The pictures are great quality compared to Polaroid. I like the "widescreen" size of the pictures. Easy to load film.
What's not so cool? Huge camera and feels a bit like a cartoon or toy. Drop this sucker once and it shatters to bits. Wish the camera was made so that I could repair it if I needed to instead of buying a new one.
Overall, suits the needs of instant potography and I don't have to worry about the cameras and film being discontinued. Price of film is a good deal compared to Polaroid. Vibrant photos.

Comments about Fujifilm Instax 200 Instant Camera:
First off, like others have mentioned in their reviews, this camera is big. No picture can do it justice. But once you get past the size of it, it is a very fun camera to keep in your bag. I take it with me wherever I go, especially out to bars with friends. People stare at it and ask "what the heck is that THING?". The good thing about this camera is that unlike Polaroid cameras, the film is widely available and produces great results. I've never had to use the on-board exposure adjustments (lighter or darker); the camera always seems spot on and the flash doesn't blow your subject out.

Comments about Fujifilm Instax 200 Instant Camera:
With the disappearance of Polaroid film, Fuji's the only game in town when it comes to instant photography. The Instax 200 (and its all-black cousin, the 210) picks up where the Polaroid 600 cameras left off, with marked improvements.
Where the images from the Polaroid take-alongs could be less-than-sharp, thanks to plastic lenses of varying quality, images from the Instax are crisp. Colors are more brilliant and accurate than with Polaroid film in its last days, as you might expect from the makers of Fuji Reala.
Like all auto-exposure point-and-shoots, this camera has certain limitations. It doesn't handle complex lighting situations very well, often over-exposing, and the smallish image (6x9 cm) can't handle too much detail. If you keep the light bright and mostly direct, and stay at a medium distance from your subject, your pictures will look great.
The Fuji Instax 200, as with other instant picture formats, lends itself well to creating colorful, one-of-a-kind abstract images. Fuji's bright colors are a real plus here.
Flash can wash out faces at close range. Fill flash for backlit situations is a welcome function, especially outdoors.
The camera itself is big and, for a plastic device, a little weighty, but not prohibitively so. The short neck strap is recommended; Fuji could have supplied a longer strap.
It's a real handful of camera, and the shutter responds quickly. Be sure to hold it rock steady when taking a picture. There's about a 1-second lag for the photo to pass through the rollers. Film cartridge loading is simply a matter of dropping it in the back.
The Instax's cool, space-alien look makes it a non-threatening device for casual street photography, though your subjects may want to keep the photograph. I'm having a lot of fun with this one.

After finding our original one at Rome airport we have been a fan of this camera for quite some time. Originally we had to buy the film in Canada because not even our beloved B&H had it. The pics are always a huge hit at parties and despite the digital takeover people still love the hard copy on the spot. We highly recommend it.

I use this camera for family occaisions and also for some quick shots while traveling. The quality of the images exceed polaroid 600 and Spectra film. It is a little bulky but lightweight and easy to use. I still use my digital SLR but this camera, with it's instant pictures is a real hit a parties.
