Comments about Olympus Stylus-9000 Digital Camera (Black):
This little jewel is perfect for those who like a camera that does the job of the SLR's, but don't want to pay the higher price. I love the 10x optical zoom and the super-macro. I only wish it had a "hump" on the body for a better grip. I like it so much, I bought a second one for my daughter in college.

Comments about Olympus Stylus-9000 Digital Camera (Black):
The instruction book is easy to follow for the initial set up, battery charge and basic camera operations. The camera is easy to operate, takes great pictures -for a non professional- and the pictures are easily downloaded into the computer.

Comments about Olympus Stylus-9000 Digital Camera (Black):
I have several Olympus SP Models and currently have an Olympus SP-590UZ. I wanted a pocket camera with good optical zoom and resolution! The Stylus-9000 is more than I ever expected in such a small package!! It actually competes well with my SP-590UZ in all areas but low light which is to be expected with such a small lens.
Excellent camera for beginners and Pros!!

Comments about Olympus Stylus-9000 Digital Camera (Black):
The camera is easy to use and set up - I've heard that it takes poor pictures in low light, but after playing with different settings and angles (and buying a tripod, I'm taking great pictures! (day or night, light or dark) I love this camera!

The only positive feature of this camera on a recent lengthy trip to Italy, was it's stability at high speed on a boat!
It is impossible to photograph anything at low light!!
It is going back to the store.

Cannot get the camera to focus indoors. I took several photos of my oriental rug and the photos were in focus on the inside of the photo but the edges were out of focus constantly. I have a Olympus 1200 and it is much better.

Comments about Olympus Stylus-9000 Digital Camera (Black):
This camera seems to work fine outside but I am having LOTS of trouble with flash shots inside. Despite experimenting with various settings including iAuto, even small movements, like someone slicing a birthday cake, cause blurs.
Right now, I'm trying out the Sports setting to see if it helps but so far it seems to make the pictures very gray -- without the real color.
I'm very disappointed with it.

Comments about Olympus Stylus-9000 Digital Camera (Black):
I was really disappointed with the picture quality of this camera as well as the image stabilization. I struggled to take good photos in any kind of light conditions. Many of the photos were out of focus and the slightest movement from either the subject or myself caused blurring - an issue I thought would have been handled quite well by the image stabilization.
I ended up trying all sorts of combinations with all the features and scene mode that the camera has to offer, but could not get to a point where I was happy with the pictures quality - especially not for a 12Mp camera.
I really expected more and after struggling to get decent photos out of the Olympus, I ended up exchanging it for a Sony Cybershot T900 which I am really happy with - it seems light years ahead of the Olympus to me.
