Take the incredibly lightweight MHS-CM1 Webbie HD Camera (Orange) with you everywhere to capture all the crazy things your friends do and more. This high definition camera records in the MP4 format, which means all your video and still images will upload easily for emailing and posting to social networking sites.
And the MHS-CM1 has your back with a 5MP CMOS sensor that records up to 8.5 hours of incredible images - still or video - to a 16GB Memory Stick. Not only that, but the 5x digital zoom gives you the power to record far off action with clarity.
In addition, the camera's 2.5" swivel LCD rotates up to 270° which makes it ideal for self-recording and capturing video from normally hard to view angles. Other fun features like an LED video light give you the ability to shoot video at night while individual "Movie" and "Still" buttons help keep things simple.

I use the camera to record my two girls ages 3 and 5. Its small size means I can comfortablly carry it around in my front pocket all the time. The HD quality is excellent in bright environments (like a snowy day) but is a little murky with indoor night-time lighting. It's a simple camera without frills and meets my needs well - which is to have something higher quality than a phone to record family outings. The 5 megapixel stills were a big selling point since I didn't want to be caught without a camera, but the camera function is not stellar. The audio has been great, and I have even used the light for close-up video recording. The zoom is not impressive and lack of stabilization limits how far an optical zoom could be used anyway. I do not need to record from too far away and do not use the zoom much. All in all, fun and useful camera for under $200. Wish they included the 3 second pre-record mode like the Canon FS200, that would be a priceless feature for the type of shooting I do.

It is a pretty good camera for the cheaper models. It is small, but is easier to hold and use/mount than the other flat low end HD. It creates a nice picture quality for the price, just as long as the camera or subject isnt moving around too much. The menu and software is easy to use. If your looking to make some web videos, or just need a nice compact camera to mount in crazy places or take hiking or other places that you might be weary of bringing higher end stuff, this is perfect. The low light is pretty bad, as it is with every camera under $1,000

I use my webbie at least three to four times a week. I have recorded family/friends gatherings (birthday partys and just sitting around the firepit telling stories). It's so easy to connect to to tv after recording we all sit around and watch our recordings and laugh til we cry. Its small enough to take anywhere and so easy to use by everyone. The clarity and sound are of the best quality. Everyone that has seen and used my webbie love it. I will always have my webbie.
I have also used my webbie for educational purposes. I am a personal trainer. I have recorded proper workout techniques, as well as, burst training classes with all the way chiropractor. Its easy to record and connect to my mac to make dvd for clients.

I am REALLY happy with this little camera. Easy set-up, easy to film. The one difficult I had was with finding a good interface for the MP4 format. But once I figured it out, the camera made my movie look great!! :)

Comments about Sony MHS-CM1 Webbie HD Camera (Orange):
I bought it because of its HD capability and the tiny size that fits just right in my hand.
The video quality is quite good, enough to capture any moment with decent detail level.
The only weakness I find to it is the internal battery, so, by now, I still don't know what will happen if that fails. this is why I rated it with 4 stars.
A friend tested it and told me that the zoom motor was very loud, but he didn't considered that his test was done with almost no environmental noise, so the camera adjusted the audio levels automatically.

Comments about Sony MHS-CM1 Webbie HD Camera (Orange):
I use this for my internet comedy videos. Considering the price of the webbie, the HD video looks GREAT when you're in a well-lit area, such as outdoors. One small issue I had with the video is that the zoom is very fast, so you can never achieve the effect of a slow zoom in or out. In general though, it's hard to believe they packed so much video quality into such a small and cheap package.
However, if you're wanting high audio quality, you might want to buy something with a better built-in mic, or at least an external mic jack. I find myself using my Macbook microphone to record sound and then editing it into my videos. If you're just taking personal videos or family videos, it's amazing for the price, but if audio is a consideration, go for something with a better mic.

Comments about Sony MHS-CM1 Webbie HD Camera (Orange):
Image quality is no better than my 8 yr old Sony camcorder and there is the problem of motion artifact similar to using a still camera in video mode. Lighting and color reproduction is terrible. Hopefully B&H will take it back. I have had good luck with Sony products up until now. This is really disappointing, even considering the very low price.
