Honl Photo Speed Strap for Speed System
The HonlPhoto Speed Strap is the building block for the Speed System line of shoe-mount flash modifiers and accessories. The Speed Strap wraps around the head of any shoe mount flash unit, and has a non-slip underside, so it won't budge when attached. The strap provides a large "hook-and-loop" wraparound area, which allows you to quickly attach Speed Grids, Speed Gobos, Speed Snoots or Honl Gels.

Having made my own flash diffuser, [@] I needed a way to make sure it didn't fall off. I was looking at putting hook and loop fasteners on the flash head and then ran across Honiphoto products. This strap keeps my diffuser in place and also lets me attach gels to the front of the head, using plastic name tags holders I collect from conferences I attend and hook/loop circles. (If I can make it, why spend money, plus I get to recycle stuff.) Inexpensive and it works. If I purchase a second flash unit, I will purchase another strap along with it.

I made my own straps from a package of 4 1" wide Velcro straps purchased at [*] The Honl straps are better! They have a rubberized back surface which holds the strap in place. The Velcro strips kept rotating around the Speedlite and were pushed off when I put the Speedlite back in the case. The Honl straps stay in position and stay on the Speedlight when in the case. At this price they are well worth the cost.

Tons of photographers will tell you just to use velcro you purchase from your local hardware store. A roll of that stuff is going to cost you at least $3-$5 and you'll have a ton left over. Plus the underneath side of the store bought velcro is slick and not grippy.The Honl speed strap is a must for [$]. The velcro is nice and thick and the band is wide. Way better than the cheap stuff at the store. The Honl accessories like the gels, snoot, and grids work flawlessly with the speed strap. The gels and grids can even be combined together at the same time. The underneath of the strap has a very nice and grippy surface that does not slide on the flash head. I find that very valuable when shooting since I don't have time to worry about stuff like that during a wedding. The strap fits my Canon 550EX, 580EXII, and the new 600EX-RT with room to spare. Great product and would buy it again.

This is a hefty strap that works wonderfully to hold just about any flash accessory. Much better than the lumiquest strap as far as durability and holding power. This is the second one of these I own. It's a bummer that it costs [$] for a strip of velcro, but it just works without any issues.

I love this strap! It is adjustable and holds on pretty well due to a slightly sticky grip lining on the inside of it. I prefer using this over having to put velcro directly on my flash unit, and this strap works with products beyond Honl.
