The Benro B-0 Ballhead features a machined head with a quick release adapter that adheres to the venerable Arca-type quick release standard. With a 30mm diameter ball sphere rated to hold ~17 lbs, the B-0 can handle the usual SLR systems with ease and only weighs a paltry 10.2 oz (290g).
Rather than having one friction control and a complicated thumbscrew to set a minimum tension, Benro chooses the more traditional route of distinct mechanisms with lock/unlock and friction setting functions. There's also a separate lock for the panning axis, and the panning axis itself is appropriately dampened for the type of gear on the B-0.
