The Sony Cybershot DSC-TX1 Digital Camera is packed with new technology and features which allow it to boast major improvements in low-light photography. With the new "Exmor R" back-illuminated CMOS sensor technology, performance improves shooting in low-light scenarios, enhancing image clarity and drastically reducing grain, creating amazingly clear, vibrant photos. Sony's "Exmor R" image sensors can gather more light, resulting in approximately twice the sensitivity compared to conventional sensors.
To further extend low-light shooting performance, the DSC-TX1 incorporates Hand-held Twilight and Anti-motion Blur, and Multi-shot Modes. Using "Exmor R" CMOS sensor's high speed, these modes capture six separate images in less than a second and utilize Sony's BIONZ processor to combine the shots into a single image of extraordinary detail and low noise.
The DSC-TX1 is made for an audience that wants advanced technology in a compact design. With a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, it lets users focus in at as little as 0.4 inches from a subject for extraordinary close-up shots. The 4x telescopic zoom is perfect for capturing far-away subjects, and Sony's Optical SteadyShot image stabilization helps overcome camera shake. In the Sweep Panorama mode the camera shoots continuously while you sweep across the scene and then automatically stitches the pictures together to create one stunning panoramic photo.
The TX1 features a new operation on the touch panel that lets you scroll through images with an effortless "flick" of your finger and directly access menus on the 3-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus display. With its slim profile of just 0.64-inch (16.5mm), the 10.2 mega-pixel DSC-TX1 offers streamlined, distinguished curves for a sophisticated look appealing to the fashion-oriented who are also looking for great performance.

Comments about Sony DSC-TX1 Cybershot Point & Shoot Digital Camera (Pink):
The video quality is way better than the old SONY camera we have especially under low-light conditions. However, the battery life is terrible. It does last long even if you do not shoot much.

Comments about Sony DSC-TX1 Cybershot Point & Shoot Digital Camera (Pink):
Really love this camera,I love that it's pink and skinny! My old camera was a Sony bright pink but it started vibrating 3 years after I bought it and noticed online that some Sony's came bad and had that vibrating problem taking really bad pics but they were giving new cameras if the cam was 2 years or less when you bought it and mine was 3 years so they said it was going to cost me $190 to fix it so I decided to buy a new one instead. Hopefully this one doesn't get that problem cuz I really like Sony cameras. So this Camera I've only had for like almost 3 weeks and soo far I like the color and quality of the pictures, I still need to practice taking more Panorama pictures b/c it doesn't come out right (sometimes blurry) and I tried to do it 360 around but it only does it like 180 or less so I guess I really need to read the manual carefully to see how it works..

Comments about Sony DSC-TX1 Cybershot Point & Shoot Digital Camera (Pink):
I got this camera for Christmas..It's only been a day, and I am totally impressed. I usually drag around a Canon 40D (large SLR), but decided I needed a pocket sized camera..I choose this model for it's compact size, and I have to say the photos are fabulous....Way better than I expected. I can now leave the DSLR at home without feeling I am sacrificing quality. I particularly like the panoramic and smile detection features. I also love the "PET" setting..I took quite a few shots of my 4 legged critters indoors and shots of a friend illuminated only by candlelight and it performs VERY well in low light conditions. Worth every penny!
