Comments about Wein PN Peanut Slave (3-Pack):

This is a great and cost effective way to get your flashes off camera. I turn my on camera fill flash down as low as it will go and it still fires the other 3 flashes every time. They are a little sensitive - flashes go off with little voltage spikes and with minor shock. They also go off with infrared remotes! All in all, they do what I need them to.

Comments about Wein PN Peanut Slave (3-Pack):

I had a multiple light set up for a shoot and the internal slave on one of my lights wasn't picking up the flash. I popped on my slave and didn't miss a beat. It worked flawlessly. I have had some in the past and you do need to be careful not to bounce them off the floor...

I use these with Vivitar 283s and they have not failed me yet. It has consistent output. I almost lost one because they are so small, but other than that I have no problems.

Comments about Wein PN Peanut Slave (3-Pack):

These are great for studio flash or strobe units. But shooting in a situation of other unpaid camera users could present a problem. When their pop-up flash goes off, the peanut will recognize and cause your flash unit to trip, using up the batteries.

I use this for the Vivitar 285 and it only works if I use my rechargeable Nihn batteries. If I use just usual alkaline batteries in the vivitar, it does not work. They work very good, however one never worked.. For the price of these guys, yes it is worth.

Comments about Wein PN Peanut Slave (3-Pack):

these little things are pretty cool... they do what they are made to do... i use them with my Vivitar 285hv's for which these models are made and they work great. Line of sight can be an issue but generally, i can get around that with strategic placement of other strobes to trigger the slave action.

Comments about Wein PN Peanut Slave (3-Pack):

The Wein Peanut Slaves work fantastic with my Vivitar 285HVs. They plug directly into the Vivitar 285HV without needing any addition PC cord, and they're small enough to leave on the flash all the time.

Although I don't go out of my way to abuse them, the Peanut Slaves seem pretty durable the way the circuitry is embedded right in the epoxy casing. I've dropped a few without consequence.

They work consistently and are a great deal for the money.
