The ARCHOS 5 Internet Tablet features built-in Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and twice the processing power of most mobile devices. With the new OMAP 3440 processor based on the ARM Cortex A8 superscalar microprocessor and DSP running at up to 800MHz, you get quick and responsive Internet browsing. The touch screen and the on-screen keyboard let you access web pages and social networking sites with ease. The ARCHOS 5 also offers web pages displayed full screen, with no need to zoom in and out because the text is easily viewable on the sharp 5 inch screen. And, you can switch from landscape to portrait mode to make your viewing experience even more enjoyable
Connectivity
Getting online with the Tablet can be done multiple ways. The ARCHOS 5 features dramatically improved WiFi capabilities that allow it to scan the available network much faster than in the past. It also maintains connection to the network even in weak signal areas. With integrated Bluetooth you can also connect the ARCHOS 5 to your mobile phone equipped with 3G and Bluetooth. You'll have easy, instant Internet capabilities everywhere you go with no need to pay an extra fee if you have data access with your service plan (please refer to the regulations in your contract). Connection through you phone using Bluetooth provides convenient access without wire clutter
Web TV and Radio
ARCHOS gives you access to web TV and web radio stations. Classified by genre, you can find the news and entertainment you want. The Tablet has access to 1,000 WebTV channels, 10,000 WebRadio stations, and 100,000 podcasts. Watch or listen to what you want in less than 3 clicks, live, without opening your web browser and without waiting for downloading time
Email and Contacts
The Tablet features an email program that keeps you connected to your contacts. The email application has been improved to let you connect to a large variety of email accounts. In less than a minute you can configure you email account simply by providing your address and password. The program will synchronize with your email address so you can send mail right away
Media Club
The ARCHOS Media Club gives you access to a multitude of videos and music to buy or rent from, including classic films from Paramount or short films from Zzizzl Films. You can also watch streamed online and shared video with DailyMotion, and follow world news with the ARCHOS-customized EURONEWS web site

• GPS: GPS Navigation
With maps from Tele Atlas, the ARCHOS 5 gets you where you want to go with easy to follow navigation instructions and a voice assistant. An optional car mount even lets you mount the player in your car for easy navigation while driving or just listening to your tunes using an optional FM transmitter. There's also a pedestrian GPS mode that guides you through Western Europe or North America in 3D. The purchase of a license is required, but ARCHOS gives you a 7 free trial to test it out
3D City Maps
The 3D city maps give you the option to navigate through 2,000 different cities with multi-angle views, four zoom levels, and 800 x 480 pixels on the 5 inch screen, in addition to the high-speed processor. You'll see buildings and monuments just like you would in real life, making it easy to find your way through a new town

• TV: HD Output On TV
Watch your videos and photos on the big screen in high def using the optional DVR Station or HDMI MiniDock. Both accessories feature an HDMI output that brings detailed and rich HD footage to a larger screen for all to see. You can also schedule the player to record upcoming TV shows and take them with you to watch whenever you want
Digital TV
With the optional TV Snap-on, the ARCHOS 5 lets you watch and record live digital terrestrial TV

• Add-Ons: The Internet Tablet allows for a number of optional ARCHOS add-ons to enhance your digital experience from watching and recording TV, to sharing content on the big screen with friends and family, to extending the battery life of your ARCHOS 5.
