The Manfrotto by Bogen Imaging MBAG80PN Padded Tripod Bag (Black) is a padded ballistic nylon bag designed to carry Bogen/Manfrotto tripod with a head up to 31" long. Thermoform padding holds the tripod in place and protects it, especially the head, during transport. It also serves a double purpose by protecting the tripod's hard edges when it is carried. The zipper extends down the length of the bag, but also fully opens the top end of the bag. The end opening allows for faster "quiver" style extraction and insertion of the tripod. The inner pocket holds accessories (such as video head pan bars). The bag is tapered to follow the shape of the tripod and head.
The tripod legs fit comfortably in the narrower end and extra space is allowed for the larger volume of the head at the wider end. This also means it's easier to put the tripod and head in the bag, even if the head levers and knobs are fitted and jut out slightly. The bag includes a shoulder strap, carry and end handles providing three methods for carrying the tripod.

Comments about Manfrotto MBAG80PN Padded Tripod Bag:
I am on the move most of the time (last September in Yellowstone) and needed the tripod bag. I like it's sturdiness while being lightweight. Good quality.

Comments about Manfrotto MBAG80PN Padded Tripod Bag:
The bag is extremely well built, using good quality material. I use it for my Gitzo 3541L with a RSS BH-55, and the combination fits in pretty nicely. The bag has sufficient padding. The zipper is quite broad and seems to be sturdy and of good quality. The carry strap is placed at an ergonomically comfortable position. All in all, the bag looks like its going to last a long time, and I am happy with my purchase.
Also, the B&H service was excellent. Keep it up guys.

Comments about Manfrotto MBAG80PN Padded Tripod Bag:
This bag is sized perfectly for my Manfrotto 055CxPRO tripod with attached ball head and quick release. The bag is a bit more bulky than I had expected but it should work great to transport and protect my tripod during travel. It will most likely remain back at the vehicle when I am in the field because of its bulk.
The contruction and attention to detail in the bag is excellent. This bag will last for YEARS.

Comments about Manfrotto MBAG80PN Padded Tripod Bag:
I am impressed with the quality, geometry, and space this bag affords. It's large enough to carry two sets of tripod legs (190CXPRO4 & 190XDB), two intermediate ball heads, and there's even room at the top to fit a 410 geared head. The zippers are oversized and seem to be durable, and the whole bag is sufficiently padded (although I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable checking this as airline baggage). The shoulder strap is comfortable and well laid out. Overall, I'm glad I purchased this, and I would recommend it to others.

Comments about Manfrotto MBAG80PN Padded Tripod Bag:
Great padded protection for my Manfrotto Tripod--I don't worry about my tripod being damaged or banged around in the car/photo site or while carrying it. Better yet, there is room for my monopod! Strap is comfortable and very easy to carry. Definitely worth the protection!

Comments about Manfrotto MBAG80PN Padded Tripod Bag:
I use this bag for my Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod with 486RC2 ball head. The gear fits perfectly--this is the right size bag for that setup. The bag provides adequate cushion and protection and the strap is comfortable enough, although I'm not sure how far I would hike with it, being that the strap has no padding. I'm certainly going to try it out and see though, considering it's not really that heavy with my tripod loaded in it.

Comments about Manfrotto MBAG80PN Padded Tripod Bag:
Very well made bag with lots of room, perhaps a little too much room. But very well padded and rugged. First rate quality all around. Will give your tripod and ball head years of protection.

Comments about Manfrotto MBAG80PN Padded Tripod Bag:
I flew previously with my tripod only in a non-padded bag and the head was damaged. I now feel secure with this bag for travel. The one drawback is that there could be some more padding around the sides of the head to supplement the stiff cap.

Comments about Manfrotto MBAG80PN Padded Tripod Bag:
Recommended by a sales rep over online chat. It is a good product with exact length for my 055CXPRO 3-SECTION TRIPOD and 498 MAXI BALL HEAD w/RC2 QR PLATE in combination. However, it is too "fat" that the tripod is too thin fitting inside. I think the bag is good for a Video tripod with "big" leg and head.

Comments about Manfrotto MBAG80PN Padded Tripod Bag:
I have a Bogen 8021 Pro tripod. Perfect sized bag with added padding at the top for the tripod head. As others mentioned the zipper sticks a bit at the top but i believe that's better since it will loosen over time. Wish there were an inside pocket or two for loose items. Still, a great value for the money. Glad i purchased it.

I purchased this product because I was carrying around a monopod and a tripod. It is a perfect fit for both. The head of the bag is heavily padded to protect the top of the gear...

Comments about Manfrotto MBAG80PN Padded Tripod Bag:
I have a 701HDV head and 055XPROB sticks. I'm a graphic designer that also does photography and video. I wanted something that I felt would protect my tripod when I toss it in the back of my car.
THE GOOD:
I worked for a university in the broadcasting department and in 2008 bought some of the smaller bags that only had the padding on top so I was already familiar with Manfrotto's high quality. I was pleased to see this bag is much more padded than those ones and the zipper is super heavy duty. They put handles and finger loops in very intuitive places to grab the bag for zipping and unzipping. The single zipper that allows you to open the tripod from just the top like a quiver or all the way down the side is very convenient and one of my favorite parts of this style of bag.
THE BAD:
Well there really aren't any but if I had to nit pick I would say that the zipper was pretty stiff when I first got it and is still a little stiff. I'd rather have a stiff heavy duty zipper than a "super slidey" one that breaks. The other thing that would have been nice is a place to put a tag for contact info / contents info / etc. It's always nice to have that on your tripod and if you have mutliples of the same bag it helps organize them.
Overall a GREAT buy and I feel confident that my tripod will be safe it this bag.
