The VholdR Waterproof Case (Orange) is designed to fit a VholdR ContourHD or ContourHD1080p wearable camcorder. It can be submerged up to 32.8' (10m). The waterproof case maintains access to functions such as the single record button, laser alignment, and TRail mounts, while the camcorder is safely inside. It has two safety latches on the back of the case to lock it onto any of the TRail mounts.
The waterproof case will also work with the VholdR wearable camcorder, but with limited functionality on the record switch and power button.

I used this Camera in fresh water and did not exceed depth limits. The case fits perfectly and it performed as advertised. Everything was dry inside and the pictures did not suffer from any lens distortion from the case itself. The quality of this case is amazing for the price, I was blown away. I will use it this fall to film the Salmon run. I'm sure it will do the job.I recommend this case highly.

Not so waterproof
Unfortunately, some water came in case. Luckily the cam was not damaged and the pictures taken were awesome! Almost worth sinking the cam ;-)

I took this case and the Contour to the Caribbean for my dive trips. I used it for so much more: Ziplining in the Jungle through a downpour of rain, Snorkeling in StingRay City, and Swimming with Dolphins. The case just adds an extra layer of protection in a lightweight fashion.

The case keeps your Contour dry. I took it surfing for several hours and it took a beating but kept the camera dry. So it does its job. Although the case comes with no instructions on how to start and stop recording using the case. It took me a long time to figure out that you have to begin recording before you put the camera in the case to enable the Cases magnet switch. After that its easy.

used the waterproof case on a tripod, great at keeping my camera dry. thats about it. you cant slide the camera into record when it is in the case. you have to put it into record BEFORE you lock it into this case. there is a slider on the case making it seem like this is something you can do after the camera is safe and dry. but it doesnt connect. it's weird. not the best purchase i have made. but GREAT deal on this site.

Very easy to use, and a bit tight, but it's supposed to be. When I unpacked it, there was a residue on the inside of the front lens cover. Somewhere between a vaseline, and sticker "goo." I had to scrub it for several minutes, to get the smudges out. Used it underwater, up to 3' down, without any troubles. Great protection.

Camera fit very well in this case. And it would be good for underwater shots but the only way to tell if the camera is recording is to hear it beep and you can't hear that in the case so your never really sure if it is recording. It has a magnet that starts the recording. I would not recommend this camera and case for anybody wanting to do water recording with it because you really don't want to take the risk of losing the shot.

The record switch on the case does not work. If you refer to Contour's forums this problem is widespread. Instead of doing the right thing and recalling this item, Contour offers a DIY hack try and get it to work. They sent me another switch with the a few millimeters shaved off, so that the magnet under the switch can move forward a bit more BUT it still doesn't work. Now they are saying they have a redesigned switch which requires longer screws to install but won't get those in for a week or so. So now I'm going to miss out on using my camera on a rafting trip because a small time company doesn't do sufficient R&D. [...]

The picture is perfect.
