The Pearstone Bounce Dome (Diffuser) for Canon 270EX & 270EX II will diffuse the light output of the flash, producing softer shadows and a softer, more natural glow as opposed to the harsher effect when using a direct flash. The diffuser provides even coverage across the entire frame, and is ideal for use with lenses from 15mm to 200mm in 35mm format (and equal in other formats as well).
The Bounce Dome simply slides onto and off the flash with custom fitting, without the need for touch fastener tabs.

A diffuser for my flash is like a lens hood. I may not always use it, but I want it to be available when I think that it might help. This one works without having to cobble up my new flash with some cruddy velcro straps, glue or titanium rivets. Don't leave home without it. And if you do leave it behind, turn around and go back to get it. But no 180's on 5 lane freeways. Use an exit.

This little thing generally makes the flash light A LOT softer and smooth! I compared the same photos with and without this diffuser, it does make differences on them. For ten bucks, it does what it's supposed to do, I am happy with it.
It is a must buy little thing for your 270EX flash!

I was having a hard time finding a diffuser that would fit a 270EX being a rather small flash. Based on the ratings I gave this a try. I have been impressed with how well this product really works. Light and shadows are diffused nicely for what it is and for the price you can't go wrong.

Haven't used this as much (yet) so I can only speak for the few test shots and construction of the diffuser. As with all light modifiers, you can either love them or hate them. It comes down to one's knowledge of how to use the tools of the trade properly. This diffuser is what it is. It fits the Canon 270EX II very well. It feels secure on it and doesn't feel as if will fall off easily. My only advice when attaching this diffuser to either of the 270EX Speedlites is to get a good grasp on the Speedlite when attaching since it takes a little effort to get it on since it is a snug fit, which is a good thing for a good fit. Once it is attached, it feels secure. When removing, also get a good grip on the Speedlite.

This Bounce Dome (Diffuser) for Canon 270EX by Pearstone that I purchased with the Canon flash is proving to be a very valuable addition to my equipment. I shoot a lot of grab shots of chefs, food personalities and dishes, but I cannot and do not set up complicated lighting equipment. My stuff is always on the run, so I have to do the best I can with light equipment that is always with me. This little combo is great to pair with my Sigma 17-70mm OS, my Tokina 35mm Macro and my Canon 50mm f/1.4. It gives the reach and diffusion that the on-board flash does not.
