So far, I have no complaints with this trigger. I'm using it with a slightly outdated Canon Digital Rebel 300D, and it works like a charm. Setup couldn't be easier; you plug the transmitter into the camera and turn it on, extend the antenna on the remote, and press the button. That's it. You'll only need about 10 minutes to monkey around with single vs. multiple shots and autofocus to work out your preferences. Unlike other triggers, you don't have to be in front of the camera or pointing directly at the infrared sensor to use it. I have shot from a variety of angles and even from distances longer than I thought it could reasonably function. I also like that you can set it to different channels, in case you're shooting in the vicinity of other photographers who are also using triggers. I haven't used it for action yet, though I'm betting it will come in handy. For now, as I recover from shoulder surgery, I'm using it for portraits and candids and it's a great tool to have. For the price, I wouldn't think twice about buying this product again.

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to the higher priced Canon unit. The unit works well. Does it's job but it is made cheaply. Old adage applies, "you get what you pay for"!

This product plugs into the side of the camera and hangs along the side. Great when sitting on a tripod. Allows great shots and long exposure with no camera shake. I use with a Tamron 200-500.

This would be a 4 or 5 star item, but the included 12 volt battery is so old that it only registered about 6.5v on my multimeter. And consequently, didn't work.

Once I bought a new battery, it worked great.

Taking a digital photography class this semester & this wireless shutter release has really come in handy for some of my low-lighting assignments. I'm looking forward to using it during the "pre" holiday season when I'm shooting many more children pictures . . . I won't be tied to just staying behind the camera!

I bought this to use with my tripod for sunset portraits and self portraits. It works very well with my Canon. I read the previous reviews so I knew to buy AAA batteries. The remote worked right away without setting anything on the camera. So far I've tested it from 40 feet and it worked.

I bought a cable shutter release about a year ago for $20 and it no longer works. I was so frustrated I started looking into wireless. This product is so amazing I will NEVER buy cable again. Fast, simple, efficient. True story, I was taking family portraits and instead of setting the camera's self timer and running to get into position, I just positioned everybody, set the camera, took my place and hid the remote behind my back, took several shots and the results were PHENOMENAL!!! I would highly recommend this product.

I haven't had it long enough to thoroughly test it, but so far it works as described. One caution: It fits only certain Canon cameras, so be sure to verify that it will work on your camera. There are two main types of shutter release "sockets" for Canons. There are similar products for the other type also.
