The Crown Audio PIP-USP4-CN IQ Programmable Input Processor (PIP) Card is a DSP input module designed for CTs Series two-channel amplifiers. The card connects to an Ethernet network which enables remote control and monitoring of the amplifier using System Architect software. The card also makes it possible to transport digital audio in real time via AES3 or CobraNet.
The unit is a HiQnet series component and connects via a 100 Mb Ethernet hardware that provides a single plug solution for control, monitoring, and audio distribution. It utilizes an OMNIDRIVEHD processor to provide DSP such as LevelMAX limiting, FIR filters, IIR filters, faders, meters, audio routing, polarity, mute, compression, delay, error reporting, and load monitoring. It also features noise and sine wave generators for testing and noise masking. Additional control and monitoring can be connected through the auxiliary port. The analog to digital and digital to analog conversion stages are performed by 24-bit 192 kHz Cirrus Logic converters.
