The Panasonic HDC-TM700 High Definition Camcorder provides true 1920 x 1080p HD recording to a built-in 32GB flash memory. The TM700K also offers up 14.2MP still image capture and the option to record to SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards.
The core of the camera, Panasonic's 3 MOS image sensor, is a 9.15MP (3 x 3.05MP) CMOS sensor which works together with the Lecia Dicomar lens, 3" touch screen LCD, and 18x Intelligent Zoom to record stunning images. Other features like Power O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilization) and microphone and headphone connections help enhance your video with stable images and high quality audio capture. In addition, the TM700 also comes equipped with a cold shoe mount, remote control, stylus, and a mini HDMI connection.
High-Density 1080/60p Recording
The HDC-TM700 uses the progressive method to record twice as much image data as the interlace method. Interlacing requires two images to produce a complete picture, while the progressive method records a single image as a complete picture. And, the 60 Progressive Recording of the HDC-TM700 produces 60 images per second. This extremely dense image information creates intricate detail and silky smooth motion. Even when subjects move quickly, afterimages are minimized to create more natural footage. The progressive method is most effective when shooting detailed designs where moire patterns tend to occur, or when capturing scenes during sports events where the subjects are in constant motion. Also, the recorded images are displayed clearly even when they are made into still images, so it is possible to preserve stunning photos when clipping them from videos
