I recently upgraded to a 5D II with a 24-105 L. My bag at the time was the Slingshot 100. Which, for my purposes, was the perfect travel size bag. I was able to rearrange the compartments so the new camera/lens fit (shorter lenses work in the original configuration). But, that left little to no room for other lenses or a flash. So I decided to get the 202.
I was surprised by the size of the 202, mostly in a good way. Plenty of space for 3-4 (short) lenses. I was a little disappointed that my flash (430ex II) would not fit standing up, It has to lay down flat which required rearrangement of the compartments. Not a big deal but that essentially takes up two spaces for one item. I would like to see more Velcro attach points. You are limited to certain compartment layouts because of this.
The pocket for personal items has plenty of room and additional pockets for cables/memory etc... and has a "tie down" strap which is perfect for my filter pouch/wallet. The built-in lens cloth and the support pocket for a tri/monopod are nice touches.
I'm glad I have both the 100 and the 202. The 100 for day trips where I don't intend to change lenses and won't need a flash. And the 202 for extended trips when I want to take everything with me.
I wish they made something in between (150?). The 202 is too big for just a body, couple of lenses and a flash while the 100 is too small for the same.
All in all it's another great bag from Lowepro. Excellent build quality. It holds essentially all my gear and is comfortable to carry.

Lowepro got it right in terms of layout and access to your gear. It is easy to access your camera when you are out and about and its also easy to access your gear if you need. The layout is definitely great. I just didnt like the look and thought the bag was bulky/boxy. I got a Kata 3N1 instead.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW Camera Bag:
great bag! Holds my 60D with lens, plus 4 extra lenses (or it will once I buy more). Cool features- like integrated rain fly, attached lens cloth, little slots for SD cards. The best feature- by far- is how you can pull it around in front of you, and access the camera, then use the bag as a bit of a stabilizer. At first I thought the bag looked kind of funny, but I am loving it now.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW Camera Bag:
I was looking to get a bag to carry my two nikon film slrs and my small stock of 35mm film. Though this product is suited more for digital photographers, I found this bag to be perfect for my needs. Plenty of room in the main compartment for my two film camera bodies with 50mm and 28mm lenses, with even extra room for accessories. The top compartment is quite roomy. I can fit about 15+ rolls of 35mm film in there. The cover for weather sealing seems like a nifty thing to have when you need it. Plenty of little pockets/zippers, for any small accessories. My favorite part of the bag is how easily you can access your gear just by 'swinging' it from back to front. No more wasting time actually taking off the backpack and fiddling with your gear, missing great shooting opportunities. Access to your camera is done in one fluid motion. I decided on the 202 over the others because its the perfect size for my needs. Plenty of room, yet small enough to carry around for a day of shooting. I wouldn't really consider it large or bulky. Not to mention, it's very comfortable to wear. So far no complaints i can think of. Very satisfied with this product

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW Camera Bag:
I was so excited to finally get a good bag for my growing collection of gear. This bag is well made, lots of storage and extra features. But, the design is not a good one for women. The strap and stabilizing strap (it is not a waist strap) cut across "the girls". Also, when you adjust the main strap up high enough to fit a smaller framed person, the back is up so high when you swing it around you can barely get the camera out of the bag. I am not an extremely small woman at 5'7", so this was very disappointing. So, back it goes and I'll probably end up with a waist bag.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW Camera Bag:
When I travel far away I use the larger Fastpack that also stores my laptop but still is okay as hand luggage. For day trips or a city visit, the smaller Slingshot 202 AW is great. Not too big but I can still carry my Canon EOS 50D with my 24-70 mm lens attached, a second lens, the external flash plus chargers, batteries and a small filter pouch. The top compartment is large enough for a sweater or windbreaker and all sorts of accessories. My Sik Pro 330DX tripod is too large for the tripod holder at the side of the backpack but a smaller one fits perfectly. I also like the rain cover!

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW Camera Bag:
I have been on a hunt for a camera bag that is in between a back pack and a sling bag and this Lowepro Slingshot deffinitely is the one I've been looking for! It's very convinient for an on the go shooting! I love how I can just swing it around my body to grab the camera and the side opening is excellent for easy access with my gear! Also, the attached starp for the tripod or monopod is an excellent addition. It also comes with detachable deviders so it is easy to customize space and storage. It also comes with a handy weather cover. Although I wish it have more pockets for cables and such but overall it definitely was a good buy!

I thought about getting the smaller 100 series but realized that it would really only allow the camera whereas the 202 has some room for filters, sunglasses, cleaning kit and my Kindle!
Quite comfortable. Wish there were a few more options for laying out the internal dividers.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW Camera Bag:
I carry a body with a lens attached, another lens, my flash and various other assorted gizmos in this bag and everything fits nicely. It rests comfortably on my back, and thanks to the support strap that goes around the waist, it doesn't dig into my shoulders. It's also very easy to maneuver and provides quick access to my camera. And I love the rain cover!!!

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW Camera Bag:
I looked at a lot of reviews for different bags and this one stood out. After I purchased it, I was surprised how well made it is and it DID hold all the lens that I wanted to take. Best way to try it out is at a camera shop, or from a friend that has one. I will be purchasing another one if I wear this one out.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW Camera Bag:
I purchased this bag to carry my Canon T2i, 18-135mm lens, 50mm lens, a 70-300mm lens, SpeedLite 430 flash and several other items.
I couldn't be happier and more pleasantly surprised by this purchase. It has space for all my gear plus more. The all-weather cover is great and stays out of the way until you need it. The same goes for the tripod/monopod strap/cup.
The slinging action is great and I believe it will come in very handy on trips, for those times when I need quick access to the camera.
So far there's nothing I dislike about this litte bag.
Highly recommended.

The Slingshot is very well made, and does exactly what it advertises. Very adequate for a DSLR body, and 3-4 smallish lenses. Personally, though, I did not find the single shoulder strap very comfortable[...]

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW Camera Bag:
This is my first real camera bag. I've had a number of small camera cases that held just the camera. This one will hold a dSLR with lens mounted as well as a few other lens, etc. The weather cover is a nice feature as well as the ability to rotate the bag to your front side to remove your camera. You can also use the bag to steady yourself a little. Many subtle and useful features. I thought about the 102 AW,but thought it would be too little. I guessed right.
