I use to of these for my flash set up. It's works amazingly and I havent had any problems with it not setting off the flash when hooked up to the receiver. But when you put your flash on it does not want to lock in fully and safely. I recommend this but not if you have a very exspensive flash that you don't want falling off.

I purchase this product to fire my Canon Speedlite 430EX. Since the speedlite doesn't have a sync port, this seemed like a logical choice. It worked great. The only down side is that I would need to buy a converter in order to attach it to pocketwizards, but considering I'm using pc sync cables it does just what its supposed to. Solid construction with two mounting options. Cold shoe or 1/4" threads. Perfect for the price!

The hot shoe is kind of flimsy & your flash may end up falling out, the bottom is threaded only so you need a 1/4"/20 to attach it to (no problem really), but the whole thing is kind of flimsy & if you jerk or bump it the flash triggers (frequently blinding you). It's ok if you're on a severe budget, but I wish I'd gotten a proper hot-shoe to PC-female adapter & then bought a nice long PC-male to PC-male cable.

My only gripe with this is having to buy an adapter for the pc tip to fit a pocket wizard with an 1/8" plug.
I like this one better than the hama...But in the long run it may be better to just purchase one that costs more and not have to fuss with the pc adapter.
