The Macro Extension Tube Set from Zeikos contains three different sized extension tubes which can be used individually or in combination with Nikon digital SLR or film cameras. Useful for macro, medical or technical applications, extension tubes enable your lens to focus closer than its normal minimum focusing distance resulting in the magnification of the subject. The tubes convert almost any lens into a macro, saving you the expense of buying individual lenses.
The set includes 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm tubes.

I love how close these get, it really is amazing! Took a picture of skin and could see every little crease and crevis (it makes your hand look like your 90 years old) it has been so much fun using these. Also just took a picture of a lady bug and it filled up the frame My light metering works great with them but the auto focus is impossible to use with these. Been using them with a 50 mm 1.4 which seems to work out well. When you use all three at once you have to get so close that you cut down the light around you so the 1.4 lens really helps. I find it really hard to use with a 35-200 zoom. It only focuses at one particular focal length which is really confusing so I don't use it with this lens. They are very lightweight/plastic mounts. I am not doing anything professional with them so they work great for me. Still working on getting the point of focus to be tack sharp. Might be impossible without a tripod and larger depth of field. I was worried about getting these vs the more expensive ones but I am happy with them overall and don't see how the others would be better unless they are metal mounts (which I prefer since I am a klutz and metal mounts are more sturdy).

I use this set with my D5000 and have no complaints. I thought I may lose the AF with my camera, but it works fine! I only lose the AF when I stack tubes, but I like to manually focus when I'm in that close anyway. Construction is a little flimsy, but it connects just fine. Very noisy though.

Comments about Zeikos AF Macro Extension Tube Set - 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm Tubes:
I received this as a gift, and am very happy with it. This product allows you to convert a traditional master lens to a close up tool. The quality is great, and I think the product is a great deal for the price. Be prepared, however, to deal with low lighting and a need to be awfully close to the subject. This is definitely a good way to experiment with the macro concept before shelling out serious dough for a nice macro lens.

Comments about Zeikos AF Macro Extension Tube Set - 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm Tubes:
Bought this extension tube set for use on a Nikon D5100 with 18-55mm and 55-300mm AF-S lenses. Shipping from B&H was fast - arrived within the estimated delivery time.
I've experimented with each of the extensions singly with both lenses at various focal lengths, and generally if you physically get the camera in the proper general range the camera/lens will autofocus accurately, although it may search a bit. Auto exposure is also accurate and the proper focal length shows in the exif data, so electrically all the right connections are there and working.
I had read that some people have had problems with lenses fitting too tightly and actually getting stuck with this brand. My 55-300mm fits a bit snugly but not really a problem.
These tubes are plastic with metal support only on the side facing the lens. I have found the release lever to be finicky and can never get it the tube to release without fiddling.
Overall very happy with the results, especially with the long zoom.

Comments about Zeikos AF Macro Extension Tube Set - 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm Tubes:
The extension tube set has been a very affordable way to get great close ups! I'm still experimenting, but when the correct focus is achieved with the zoom lens, my Nikon D90 beeps to indicate the right focus, and this is generally successful. I don't know enought yet to use the set to it's fullest, but so far, I amd very satisfied.

Comments about Zeikos AF Macro Extension Tube Set - 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm Tubes:
My old extension tubes didn't have the contacts to use with my newer AF-S lenses so I thought I'd try these. After playing with these most of the afternoon I'm pleasantly surprised that this inexpensive product gets the job done.
They fit very snugly on the lens but I figure better snug to begin with. After fitting each one on a couple of different lenses it's getting a bit easier. Time will tell if the plastic mount end lasts but I don't do macro work every day so I think they'll be fine. Also, I agree with those who said to practice with the release mechanism while attaching and detaching the tubes from each other. The mechanism is clunkier and harder to use than on my old tubes.
Being able to use a 300mm lens as a macro lens provides me a much nicer (safer) working distance from little things that like to sting and bite and these tubes provide just that function.

Comments about Zeikos AF Macro Extension Tube Set - 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm Tubes:
First time I tried to use the 36mm extension tube the release mechanism broke, couldn't get the tube off of my lens. I should have known there was a reason these tubes were the least expensive. Don't think I'll be purchasing any more Zeikos products.

Comments about Zeikos AF Macro Extension Tube Set - 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm Tubes:
They work as advertised on my D5100 w/ both Nikon and Tamron lens. AF works fine even when combining tubes. Connects to the camera a bit more snug than my lens do but considering it's holding my lens I'm ok w/ a tighter fit. Yes, it's made of plastic but that also means it's lighter and cheaper. I'm not putting these through any demanding conditions so the tradeoff is worth it to me.

Comments about Zeikos AF Macro Extension Tube Set - 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm Tubes:
Just tested these out the other day and I am incredibly pleased. I've been wanting to try out some Macro photography for a while but lenses are too expensive for something I wasn't even sure I would like.
These tubes fit snugly on both the camera body and lens. Even stacking all three tubes there is no wobble, shaking, or other movement.
The only complaint I would have is that when stacking all three tubes, the AF function runs super slow. I didn't have the problem at all with one or two tubes, just when it has to run through all three. Not a huge problem for me as I don't see myself using all three tubes stacked together very frequently.

Comments about Zeikos AF Macro Extension Tube Set - 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm Tubes:
There's nothing to an extension tube, they are just a spacer between the lens and camera. But, these are the worst quality product I've purchased in a long time, but they work. My biggest issue is with the 36mm tube. When I received this set I of course had to test them out. Everything was great, like I said they work. But, the 36mm tube wouldn't come off my lens. It permanently attached itself to my lens. I had to break the tube to get it off. I compared it to the other 2 tubes in this set and noticed that the release tab on the 36mm tube didn't work like the other 2 in this set and it didn't push the rod down far enough to release it from the lens. The fit to the camera body is tight, but not so much to be of any concern. Since I had to break the tube to get it off my lens, I can't return it anymore. But with my own modification to it, I can still use it. If you purchase this set, test the release tabs by attaching and releasing them from each other before you attach it to your lens. 2 stars because of the problems I had, but because of the simplicity of what they are, they still work.

I used the Macro Extension tubes with various Nikon lens without a problem. Although, when I shoot macro I tend to use manual focus having the option of auto focus was nice. Not crazy about plastic design but using plastic keeps cost down.

These particular extension tubes do not fit easily to my Nikon D90 and 18-200 zoom. I have tried very carefully but am even afraid to cause damage to my lens/body. I also do not get the AF to work once in place.

So, you'll be amazed at first how the minimal focus distance just drops! Try it on e.g. a 55-200mm and see the difference! and then you can play with the depth of field by adjusting the lens focal length. It takes a bit of getting used to, but cheap excellent results!
Not so great, maybe the build quality, won't match the Kenko but the price is also about 1/3 the kenko price... so nothing to lose really! Works better on newer bodies!

Comments about Zeikos AF Macro Extension Tube Set - 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm Tubes:
I bought this set as an alternative to an expensive macro lens and they work great. I didn't see the point in paying twice as much for the Kenkos when they are the same thing. Save yourself the time and money and pick up a set of these if you are wanted to get started in, or play around with, macro photography.
AF and metering work fine with my D90. So far I have used them with my 50mm, 18-105mm, and my 70-300mm lenses and everything worked perfectly.
