We bought this product to use with our green screen during filming our morning announcements for our church. This is super light weight and very portable. I am able to set this stand up in less then 2 minutes and it is super easy to adjust. I love the carry bag that it comes in, it's very easy to load and unload the stand and to put into storage when not in use. the bag is great. This stand is much better then others that I have tried with my photography. The only negative in my book is that it didn't come with wing nuts to screw into place once the cross beam it put into place. Other then that this stand is PERFECT!

This product is a good idea but two defects made it more annoying than useful. It's easy to use and lightweight. I use it for travel and the included travel bag with easy handle makes carrying it easy. But two different quirks annoy me. One one side the top extender is stuck and on the other you have to tweek the knob at the bottom a certain way to get the leg to extend. It still works but for the price it should be better made. I would have returned it (for a replacement) but what a hassle!

Comments about Backdrop Alley Background Studio Stand:
As an amatuer webseries producer working on a superhero project we needed a green screen and buying one with this stand was cheaper than renting space. The stand itself is quite easy to put together with no instruction and is quite easy to carry with the bag. It can be used for small personal shots or very large wide screen shots. I am quite happy with it. If you need something both portable and reliable this is your bet

Backdrop Alley customer service is great too. One of my extenders did not come out all the way. I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement right away! Can't beat that!

Comments about Backdrop Alley Background Studio Stand:
I needed a quick-up, sturdy stand for the backdrop of in-school programs. Also, it has to be collapsable and fit in a case with my other gear. This is a wonderful stand, far exceeding my expectations. I assembled it in minutes. This is a high quality product.

Comments about Backdrop Alley Background Studio Stand:
The skinny: The beam sags very noticeably at full width using 10' wide muslin at an 8' height.
Worse: As others had commented, the telescoping stands stick VERY badly, making height adjustments difficult. OR, if you're like me, one may arrive with the telescoping sections fused together.
I returned this and upgraded to the Photoflex.

Love the bag it came in, compact and easy to carry. Very simple to assemble. Not as heavy as I expected. Just be careful if you have small children running around so they do not bump it and have it fall. But overall: Two thumbs up!

Comments about Backdrop Alley Background Studio Stand:
I am a just starting out amateur photographer and want to learn more and more, SO I started with this stand and 3 seamless papers and couldn't be happier. It didn't come with directions, even though you don't really need them, I had to wait for my husband to get home to figure out how to put it together! I LOVE the bag that it comes in and it breaks down very easily and quickly.

Comments about Backdrop Alley Background Studio Stand:
This stand is great for it's price. I love that the length can be maxed out to 12 feet and can adjusted by removing 1 or 2 rods to shorting the frame. It's great that the frame comes with it's own travel bag.

Comments about Backdrop Alley Background Studio Stand:
+ VERY lightweight which is helpful when carrying equipment around.
+ Nice that it came with carrying bag to organize all the parts.
+ The tips of the stands can be used for different applications!
- The only minor complaint is that wing nut tightening has to be more than expected in order to be able to secure the vertical extensions into position. Another brand of similar price (but heavier and minus the bag) secures much more easily.
