I use these in a very small room for mixing audio. They do help at louder volumes. At lower volumes they help a little. They also help reduce mid and high frequencies when recording via guitar amp at low volumes. A set of these and the D36 Roominator kit is more than enough for a small room. My goal was to absorb some, not all the mid and high frequencies, mainly in the front of the room where I mix. Nevertheless, they are pricey for foam. And, there are other options out there, as well as DIY. But these do look cool.
