This Kalt "L" bracket is made of strong molded plastic, features an adjustable camera screw, a metal flash shoe on top, and includes a hand strap.

Flash brackets are designed to increase the distance between the flash and the lens in order to minimize the occurrence of redeye and flash-shadows behind the subject.

By using an "L" shaped bracket the flash is slightly off-center, which also adds a little more dimension to the face in portrait photography.

Comments about Kalt "L" Flash Bracket:

Screws came loose on the flash mount after a few uses. Re-tightened and seem fine now. It is the traditional right angle bracket you would have bought 30 years ago. Still cheaply made and still a valuable workhorse. Works great with my Rodes Stereo Mic.

      Not for 'heavy' Canon 7D

Comments about Kalt "L" Flash Bracket:

It's clearly labeled for 35mm camera, but I thought I'd try it on my Canon 7D with a battery pack.

Not quite right for that task.

The alum bracket has a little flex with all the weight from my Canon. The strap is not adjustable and way too lose for my hand.

I took it apart and drilled new holes and screwed it back together. I missed getting the right place on the holes so it's either too tight or too loose.

Not really a good bracket for my needs.

This Bracket is a great value and should be concidered before spending much more for higher priced items of the same type.

Comments about Kalt "L" Flash Bracket:

Makes my 35 mm SLR camera much easier to handle and carry. The plastic strap is not needed and to me it's a slight hindrance. The flash shoe makes for a loose fit but it's still serviceable.

Comments about Kalt "L" Flash Bracket:

A basic flash bracket that doubles as a grip for awkward or small cameras. The handle blocks access to controls on the left side of your camera. Its great for cameras with controls on right side. It has a sturdy construction with a wrist strap that gives a secure feel. The plastic handle fits your hand well. Its small size easily finds space in your gear bag. I gave up the folding feature to have the assurance of a positive structure.

Comments about Kalt "L" Flash Bracket:

this bracket is being used with a pentax camera and two flashes.

the rubber strip between the camera body and the bracket is nice, it secures the camera really well when everything is bolted together.

the flash mount could have been a bit tighter, but it can be tweaked to fit your personal preference.
