The Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Control Surface, Graphics Card & GPU-Xpander Kit from B&H includes the DaVinci Resolve control surface and software, a PNY Technologies Nvidia Quadro 4000 graphics card, and a Cubix GPU-Xpander Desktop Pro4, all to provide the core hardware and software that you need to build a professional desktop color-correction suite.
The DaVinci Resolve software makes use of your Mac desktop system GPUs to control color grading, delivering real-time HD color correction and support for resolutions up to 4K. The node-based software enables primary and secondary color correction with Power Curve windows and a powerful 3D object tracker, and supports stereoscopic color correction with the proper I/O and display hardware.
Designed by professional colorists, the full-sized DaVinci Resolve Control Surface puts all the controls for the Resolve software at your fingertips, with a dedicated knob, trackball, or button for each operation. Paging through software menus will become a thing of the past.
The PNY Nvidia Quadro 4000 is a PCI-Express 2.0 (x16) graphics card based on 256 CUDA cores. It features 2 GB GDDR5 total frame buffer, a Dual Link DVI-I out, DisplayPort support, stereoscopic 3D support via a 3-pin Mini-DIN and optional bracket, and a maximum display resolution of 2560 x 1600 at 60 Hz.
To host that card, the Cubix GPU-Xpander Desktop 4 is certified by Blackmagic Design to work with DaVinci Resolve for Mac systems. The expander box uses a host PCI-Express (x8 or x16) slot on your Mac Pro and adds four double-wide PCI-Express slots (with cooling and power) to host the GPUs you need to bring real-time power to the Resolve software.
