Vello's Wireless ShutterBoss Timer Remote (Canon 3-Pin Connection) doesn't just trip your shutter wirelessly. It's also equipped to handle a long list of timer functions: self-timer, interval timer, long exposure timer, as well as controlling the number of continuous shutter releases. It works with a vast array of different cameras--just swap out the camera release cable for the correct camera. The transmitter works at distances up to 250' (80 m) on any one of 99 channels over a reliable 2.4GHz frequency.
Timer delays, exposure times, and intervals can be set for up to 99 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds, in one-second increments. You can also choose anywhere from 1 to 99 continuous shots or you can set the timer to take an unlimited number of photos. The receiver uses a CR2 lithium battery, and the transmitter uses 2x AAA batteries, which can last up to 4 years on standby.

Having a remote is great. This one has a bit of a delay when shooting. Other than the delay it works just fine and stores easily.

Comments about Vello Wireless ShutterBoss Timer Remote (Canon 3-Pin Connection):
I purchased this wireless remote to use its features for long night time exposures and for still life studio work. It works as advertised and had wished I purchased this years ago. Althought I also have a wired shutter released, this wireless gives you many more options than the wired. You don't get the feeling you are tethered to your camera. It is great for wildlife and bird shots, just set the camera up and leave it...even go into your house and watch for that deer or mountain lion to come into view!!
I am giving this a five star rating because I can not think of a reason not to. Get yours now!!

Easy to setup and use. My only negative is that it only goes to 99 frames for a time lapse event.

Comments about Vello Wireless ShutterBoss Timer Remote (Canon 3-Pin Connection):
I bought this on a whim because the option of triggering my camera with my flash triggers would require another transciever and the Shutterboss was a cheaper option. I could not ask for a better value. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. I used it for a group shot that included some children (we know how fidgety they can get) and instead of using my camera's timer, which would have required me to run back & forth and create tension for the kids, I nailed off multiple shots from over 200 feet away and everyone was happy.
Transmitter auto-powers OFF but receiver requires you to manually switch it off. As long as a timing sequence is running on the transmitter it remains on. When you set the Shutterboss to multiple shots it will sequence one shot every second as long as you hold the transmitter's button down. You can set your camera as you normally would and Shutterboss to BULB and hold down the button and rip off a burst mode as long as you hold the button down or you run up against your camera's buffer limit.(not described in the owners manual but found it by trial & error).
Would like the build quality to be a tiny bit better, but it would not keep me from buying it. The remote is a bit large, but that is because it accepts AAA batteries. Buy this, you won't be disappointed.

Comments about Vello Wireless ShutterBoss Timer Remote (Canon 3-Pin Connection):
I have been waiting for an affordable interval timer that has the wireless capability for a while now. This fit the bill perfectly. The system is easy to operate, if you know a little about photography and what you are trying to achieve. Everything works as it should, so far. The only down point or concern is the material used for the remote and the transmitter. I would have gladly paid an extra $50 or so to have a little more robust/solid feel to the units. It's not that bad but it does feel a little light and fragile. I should also add that the battery in the receiver is an off size. I hope it is not one of those hard to find ones. The transmitter takes standard AAA. Over all this is a great tool to have in your photo bag. Would I buy it again, YES.

Like the fact that this will work as a corded release and as a timer / interval release. Used at wedding reception of the dance floor @ 10 sec intervals. Also useful to use for multiple long exposures of moon and stars.

Comments about Vello Wireless ShutterBoss Timer Remote (Canon 3-Pin Connection):
I own a Promaster wireless remote and a Promaster wired remote for my Canon 40D and 1D MK IV. They do the job very well. I needed a remote with timer capability for night photography, such as star trails. This device has worked flawlessly for me. I simply set it for my photographic needs and forget about it.
The actual controller(transmitter) is a bit large but workable. I wish the receiver had a cold shoe mount for a bubble level but you can work around that.

Didn't know if it would work for burst shooting with my 7d but once I played with it I figured out I can set the camera on burst mode and the remote on bulb and it worked just fine.

I bought it as a remote timer to set up for photo booths at weddings and also for its intervalomenter. It has worked great so far! The last one I had was the Pearstone version which I returned because the shutter button would get stuck. No problems with this one!
