The B+W 77mm 3.0 ND 110 Filter is a solid neutral density filter providing a 10 stop exposure. This 3.0 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.
B+W filters are constructed from high quality Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. They feature a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

Comments about B+W 77mm 3.0 ND 110 Filter:
The most important filter I have for photographing water. Stellar results with 20-30 second exposures. Smooths out the water to re-gain reflection if the water surface is not perfectly glassed over.
It brings depth of color too.
Love it.
Water falls look like silk. (Sometimes this effect is not desired, so then I use the 3 stop GND. )
Using this 10 stop filter requires taking a picture first, without it, to check the composition, focus etc. as you can not see through it in the viewfinder or live view.
Gotta have it.
And, what can I say about B+W? The best quality around.

I use this to slow down clouds and anything else that moves during a timelapse. Works great. There's a slight magenta cast but it's easy to clean up in post.

Comments about B+W 77mm 3.0 ND 110 Filter:
Prior to this filter, I had the 9 stop Hoya, which I dropped from a very short distance and broke. The B+W feels much more robust.
In terms of performance, be aware of how dark this thing actually is. I believe other reviewers have said it, but it bears repeating: you will have to focus first and THEN put the filter on - it's that dark.
This allow for very unique motion blur in full daylight.

I live in Florida and shoot a lot of landscape, I needed a filter with which I could take long mid-day exposures of water and clouds. This filter has exceeded my expectations. I would expect nothing less from B+W!

I needed something really dark and this is really it! You can get long exposures in mid-day light with this.
The color shifting is a bit more than I expected, but can be handled in post-processing.

Comments about B+W 77mm 3.0 ND 110 Filter:
There is a slight bit of colour shift, but you will have tho with all filters that are this, this is a great filter. This along with a variable filter will give you more light reduction than you will ever need. If you take good care of it this filter will outlast your camera body and lenses. Buy the best one you can afford.

Comments about B+W 77mm 3.0 ND 110 Filter:
I use to filter primarily so I can do long exposures and capture cloud movement.
Other then the fact that this is only a single coated filter (they do make a multi-coated version) this filter is perfect in my opinion.

I have only had this for a couple of weeks and it has totally changed my approach to landscape photography. With this ND filter, you open up a wide range of photography options that just aren't possible without it.
You can trust the B+W name - this is very well made.

Does what it says... very dark, quality case, with the added feature of color change.
Not a big deal... but i noticed it on the first use..
still a great buy imo... ALSO, dont buy one for each lens... instead, but a filter adapter for each additional lens... im my case, i purchased a 77mm filter for my 10-22mm then a $5 adapter for my 18-135mm

I do a lot of long exposure shots, so this is exactly what I need. It allows me to do minutes-long exposures and create those smooth glassy water images.
This purhcase was for a replacement filter, since I bought a new camera and lens, so needed a larger one.

that meets my need for extending shutter speeds on bright sunny days. This filter is well made and packaged in a nice filter holder. I was a little hesitant about the price but considering the use and frequency I have planned, I`m happy with my purchase.

Comments about B+W 77mm 3.0 ND 110 Filter:
I use this filter to soften water and fast moving clouds in daylight by lengthening the exposure 10x. I use it also to achieve shallow DOF in bright light. The filter (like all B+W filters) is strong and does not bind or run the risk of cross-threading like the more common aluminum filters do. So, the build quality is superb. I have noticed a slight blue-magenta cast to the resulting images, but this may be due to auto white balance settings in my camera. At any rate, this is a very easy problem to correct in post.

Used for landscape photography. Allows good color saturation, smooths motion of water, allows capture of people moving.
Using a chart, it's easy to set up and use to capture long exposures. No cons that I see other than any dust on the lens really shows.
