This internal drive is not compatible with older Windows 32-bit operating systems, such as XP or 20000, using the Master Boot Record (MBR) partitioning scheme. You will need an operating system that can partition and format that drive. Windows 7, Vista, Windows XP (64-bit), Mac OSX 10.4.x (Tiger), Mac 10.5.x (Leopard), and Mac OSX 10.6.x (Snow Leopard) all work.
