Designed to dramatically improve the audio recording capabilities of your iPhone 4/4S or iPod touch 4G, this B&H Kit includes a Fostex AR-4i Audio Interface for iPhone 4/4S and iPod touch 4G, a Rode VideoMic Shotgun Microphone and a Magnus Tiny Grip Flexible Tripod (Black). By using these three products together, you can use your iPhone 4/4S or iPod touch 4G to capture truly high-quality audio when you're making HD recordings.
The Fostex AR-4i is an audio interface that connects to your iPhone 4/4S or iPod 4G (via included adapter) through the 30-pin docking port. Internally, the AR-4i is equipped with an AD / DA converter. Externally, it features dual 1/8" (3.5 mm) stereo mini-jack inputs, as well as dual tripod mounts, gain control, headphone monitoring jack and LED input level meters. It comes with two cardioid microphones and a sturdy hand grip.
This B&H Kit really combines three great products that work well together. Once the AR-4i is attached, you can plug the Rode VideoMic into one of the AR-4i's mic inputs. The VideoMic is a directional video condenser shotgun microphone. It's equipped with 1/8" (3.5 mm) plug that connects perfectly into the AR-4i. It's powered by 9V batter and has an integrated shock mount. Once you've connected the VideoMic to the AR-4i, you can add the last element in this equation, which is the durable and versatile Magnus Tiny Grip Flexible Tripod (Black).
You'll never miss a photo for lack of a tripod when you have the Tiny Grip Flexible Tripod (Black) from Magnus. It weighs only 2 oz--you can carry it with you 24/7. It has flexible legs that can be bent 360° to wrap around a fence, a tree branch, a chair leg or anything else stable enough to hold a small camera and small enough to wrap the legs around. It has a 6" maximum height and includes a ball head that supports a point-and-shoot camera or pocket video camera weighing up to 1.1 lb. The flexible legs are covered with a protective foam shell, and rubber feet give you a stable support when using the tripod traditionally, with all three feet on a flat surface. The ball head has a standard 1/4"-20 mounting screw.
