This adapter fits onto almost any light stand. It has a swivel, an umbrella socket with a tightening screw, and a shoe mount for almost any shoe mount flash. Use it to soften and aim the light output of a shoe mounted flash.

This is the third SP-System Clamp I have purchased and I am for the mpst part happy with them. I am mostly an on-location shooter so light weight and strong are two main things I look for - these fit the bill on both accounts.
The only complaint I would have is that metal insert in the cold shoe seems to be a little flimsy. After 5 months of constant use the first two seem to have loosened up a bit and I have to be careful the flash doesnt fall out when tipping the umbrellas at extreme angles.

used to support my speedlites which are hotshoed to my cactus triggers. clamps are hard to adjust and wont stay inplace unless i crank em super tight. the top part of the clamp which is a blank hotshoe does not secure the cactus trigger securely at all. it is so loose that i fear loosing my strobes to gravity. watching one of them bounce off the floor would not be pleasant. the flimsy metal shim is super weak and i have had to resort to taping my cactus triggers to the clamps to ensure that they dont slip out and fall.

Comments about SP Studio Systems Umbrella Flash Clamp:
These little clamps are inexpensive and they work really well. This is the fourth one I've purchased. I would have given them a 5 but they will break
if a stand falls over and they have a load on them. Of course, the load (that was probably destroyed) costs many more $$ than this very good clamp.

Used this product to hold 580ex speedlight
I am an event photographer so I didnt want to have to go out and invest in a stroble light kit, when I already had a speedlight. Flash clamp was great all I need was an umbrella (clamp has and umbrella slot) and I was good to go.
Might have prefered clamp look and feel more sturdy (was scared weight of speedlight was too much) but clamp upheld to its end of the bargain

Comments about SP Studio Systems Umbrella Flash Clamp:
plastic but it seems durable enough. They way they come set up would lead you to use them upside down. The flash clamp needs to be placed on the correct end so the umbrella moves with the flash head.

Comments about SP Studio Systems Umbrella Flash Clamp:
I like that the metal plate can be removed from the speedlight mount to prevent shorting.
its lightweight but doesn't seem too flimsy.
However the screw doesn't tighten far enough for narrower umbrella posts, but for larger ones, its fine and does the job with good adjustability.

Comments about SP Studio Systems Umbrella Flash Clamp:
Works well enough and is pretty adjustable. Has an easily removable metal insert on the flash mount, that prevents the contacts from shorting. Does not tighten well enough with the thinner umbrella poles. Needs an extra clip or padding to secure, should have had a longer tightening screw... but works well enough.

Works well enough although I would prefer another method for keeping the umbrella locked in place.

I use this product to attach my Nikon SB800 speedlight to a lightstand. It has a very solid feel, its lighweight and very useful. It allows you to connect an umbrella, which I don't do yet but I can in the future.

Comments about SP Studio Systems Umbrella Flash Clamp:
Good clamp, holds well, but my SB-900 will not slot into the flash holder (which pretty much defeats the purpose of a flash clamp!). Will need to file down the metal lip so that the flash can slide in.

Works fine, for the most part, unless I need to attach something that doesn't clamp down.

I use this clamp with my Nikon SB600 flash on a light stand. It fit perfectly on the stand and the flash locks in tight. The clamp adjusts smoothly. Umbrella stays secured in place.

Does what it says. Misses 5 stars only because the umbrella holding screw is small and fiddly.
