Samsung is going full bore with the expansion of its APS-C format NX mirrorless camera system by announcing the introduction of five new lenses, effectively doubling the number of NX-series optics users can choose from.
Included among the newest additions is an 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 ED OIS “all-in-one” zoom (27-300mm equivalent), a 16mm f/2.4 wide-angle pancake lens (24mm equivalent), a 60mm f/2.8 ED OIS macro (90mm equivalent), an 85mm f/1.4 ED SSA high-speed portrait lens (127.5mm equivalent) and a 16-80mm f/3.5-4.5 OIS Advanced Standard Zoom (24-120mm equivalent).
All of the new lenses feature Samsung’s i-Function, which enables users to quickly set image-optimizing camera controls. In addition to “i-Functionality,” both of the new zooms also feature Samsung’s Voice Coil Motor technology (VCM), which dampens AF noise for cleaner audio tracks when shooting video.
The new lenses will reach our shores between May and December of this year.
