Vaonis Vespera III Overview

Upgraded from earlier models with a Petzval-inspired flat-field lens, a much longer runtime, and 115GB of memory, the Vespera 3 Smart Telescope from Vaonis is a lightweight celestial observation and photography device small enough to fit in your backpack. Smart, fully automated, and controlled by a mobile app, the Vespera 3 images can be viewed on your tablet or phone rather than through an optical eyepiece. It turns automatically to the celestial object you want to see and tracks it while you observe and take photos.

It runs for 11 hours on a charge and weighs just 11 pounds, ideal for exploring and observing the night sky anywhere in the world. Take your own photos of celestial objects, learn about the cosmos, and share your discoveries. It features autofocus and supports the stacking of live images for enhanced detail and color. Simply press the button, and you're ready for astronomical observation in about five minutes.

Pointing and Tracking
Vespera 3 integrates GoTo technology and automatically tracks your stellar object, displaying imagery on your tablet or phone.
Autofocus Technology
No need to manually focus; Vespera 3 automatically locks in tack-sharp focus on the object you're observing.
Auto Initialization
Using your mobile device's GPS, star pattern recognition, and astrometry to calibrate itself, Vespera 3 is ready for observation and photography in five minutes.
Sony IMX585 8.3MP Sensor
Vespera 3 uses a Sony IMX585 CMOS sensor developed for extreme low light, offering 8.3MP resolution, a 1/1.2 format, and a 2.9µ pixel size.
Petzval-Inspired Lens System
The 50mm Petzval-style apochromatic quadruplet lens has a fast focal ratio of f/4.9 and presents a flat image with sharp stars from edge to edge.
CovalENS Expanded Resolution & Field of View
The Vespera 3's native resolution is 8.3MP (3840 x 2160) and its field of view is 2.5 x 1.4°. With Vaonis's CovalENS mosaic capture technology, you can expand the resolution to 24MP and the FoV to 4.3 x 2.4° to photograph large galaxies in their entirety.
Stray Light Shielding
You can't ask your whole neighborhood to switch off their lights. So Vespera 3 features an optical baffle that blocks stray light and delivers better performance in urban environments.
Multi-Night Mosaics
Accurate framing, exposure time, gain, mosaic progress, stacking progress: everything is saved from night to night. Just hit Resume and keep collecting.
Unsupervised Astrophotography
Preserve your sleep while your celestial safari continues. The Plan My Night feature lets you schedule your smart telescope to automatically carry out a sequence of observations. Works seamlessly with Mosaic Mode and Multi-Night Capture.
Easy Live Stacking
Vespera 3's live-stacking algorithm makes manual stacking a thing of the past, even for mosaics and multi-night captures. One master file handles it all—auto-saved, with no storage clutter and ready for export anytime.
USB-C Connectivity
Vespera 3 is the first in the series to use USB-C for power and data transfer. You'll still have wireless capability through the built-in Wi-Fi.
Weather Resistant
Vespera 3 is water resistant and automatically switches off when it's raining.
Aluminum Tripod
Included is an aluminum tripod with three-section legs, a maximum height of 35.8 inches, and a maximum payload of 30.8 pounds, for comfortable observing in any position.
